    Default Kikyo

    wtf, what a stupid bitch

Anyways, she feels very much like an SLI to me for some reason, but I'm not sure it makes sense in terms of her behavior. What do you think?

If a mod could change the title to "Kikyo" and then delete this post I'd be much appreciative. Muchas gracias.

    Yeah, I can't stand her.

Aside from that though, I've always gotten a very SLI vibe from her, and I can't explain why.

That's the thing, she seems to be written as a fucked up ESI. The overall feel I've always gotten from her character though is SLI for some reason, even before she died. Pretty strongly so, actually. Never seems to be acting at the appropriate time, doesn't have reasonable Fi. idk, I just can't stand the bitch.

I can't see her as having creative Se, and the IJ temperament doesn't really work either. It's like, whenever there's something that she could be saying or doing, she's just standing there.

I think Sango is a pretty good example of an ESI, actually. When it's time to act, she does (even if she doesn't always take the wisest action, she doesn't just stand there). The IJ temperament and creative Se make perfect sense for Sango. She does stand around a little bit in that she doesn't fight that much compared to Inuyasha or even Miroku, but it's because her Se is strong enough to recognize that Inuyasha and Miroku's strengths are better suited against the enemies that the group usually faces. And even then she's usually making herself useful one way or antoerh. And when it does come down to actual hand to hand combat, she's extremely strong (in a Se way), as seen at Mt. Hakurei (there are other examples as well, of course, but perhaps that's the best one).

The Fi interactions between herself and Miroku (LIE) seem fucked up and very unrealistic to me, but it could be because they're written from a Fe perspective, or perhaps simply because it wouldn't be entertaining if things played out between them the way they actually would irl. The interactions between Nami (LIE) and Sanji (ESI) in One Piece are also somewhat fucked up and unrealistic for this reason.

Anyways, the frustrations that I have with Kikyo are the same frustrations I've had with the SLI's I've known irl... too much not doing anything for no good reason.

As for EII, it works better than ESI (and definitely better than LIE), but in my experience even EII's are better about doing stuff than SLI's. They may not be strong the same way Se creative types are, but they don't just do nothing. They may get flustered and not know how to fix their problems, but they at least comprehend the concept of urgency and understand the value of action.

I think Sesshomaru might be LSI. There are definitely similarities between the two, but there's more evidence of creative Se in him than there is in Kikyo.
