Two Kinds of IEIs/INFps (enneagram difference?)

Firstly, you have the Starfall/glamourama kind. They're hotter than the other kind in my opinion, because they just shut the fuck up and do anything for you.

No, they're generally quite quiet and passive, but there's clear interest there beyond the surface. They're a mystery that is worth cracking. Probably less male, more female. If they were a subtype, they'd be Fe subtype. They're primarily 4w3s.

Secondly, you have kind that I call the intellectual IEI. Loki, esper and my father all fall into this category of IEI. They're into their esoteric systems of thought (like the Enneagram) - in the case of esper and my father - or they write long, drawn-out yet extremely insightful posts - in Loki's case - about any given (metaphysical/philosophical) topic. This isn't to say the other lot can't be insightful, because they can; they just don't do it as often as this lot do. Anyway, these guys seem more comfortable giving out information on their area of interest, and they love coming up with new theories and ideas within said area. People value them for their wisdom. More males (even though, ironically, two of the examples I gave - Loki and esper - are both female) than females, as the intellectual interest draws them. If they were a subtype, they'd probably be Ni. I think they're mainly 4w5s.

I apparently defy your IEI category-making. Definitely not a quiet passive anything. But also not primarily theory-espousing either. Most of the IEIs here I find are quite on the youngish side. Certainly, there's frequently flashes of overlap in mindset, but I'm on the good side of 40 at this point. I think there's a definite generation gap between 20-smths and myself.

I relate most to aka-kitsune and Loki. Both of them are less lazy than I am and more willing to articulate things and take the time to type them out. I usually just wait for them to respond so I can agree. LOL just kiddin. well, sort of...

I used to consider myself Ni subtype but now I feel like I'm no subtype. I can be both. I guess in my old age I've discovered the benefits of creative Fe and use it more often than I used to.

I do this too... with so many IEIs on the forum, one of them is bound to express something rather close to my point of view. And even when they don't say something representing what I think, it still is so similar in point of view or outlook, that I can't really feel any strong sense of disagreement with it.

I think people like you, redbaron and zenbrat are confident enough to make assertions within the realms of socionics, but you're less likely to discourse in the same way Loki or esper would.
