Alpha NT's you will love this game that I stole from the socionics.com forum. I'm such an addict. So very very Ti and Ne.

I love it. It's even more fun when you do the big ones. Not to mention trying to do it as quickly as possible with the fewest moves!

I would be really awesome at solving these if I had more patience. I start with great enthusiasm but when I hit the first obstacle that I can't immediately solve I lose my spirit and close the window and seek for something more fun. Reinin would call me "yielding" for that. Thus this thread suggests that I am one of SEI, ILE, IEI, SLE, ESI, LIE, EII, LSE

    On 11x11 I usually get around 220K +/- 50K

OMG, I just wasted an hour on this.

S > N, btw. (Most logic puzzles like this are.)

If that's the case I'd better leave Alpha and say hello to Beta, lol.

I think Ne is totally useful in this kind of puzzle. I mean the possibilities are immediately obvious to me. I see the potential outcomes of several pieces at a time and just throw some Ti at it to create a logical method for putting it all in place. Before I'm done moving a piece I can already see how other pieces will have to fall into place. How is that not Ne?

What you're describing is mostly Ti (edit: seeing possible moves in advance probably does have to do with Ne). Ne is somewhat applicable, but it still requires more sensing than intuition (albeit at an abstract level - i.e. not necessarily related to type), since everything in the puzzle is immediately tangible. The object is to figure out how to arrange geometric figures correctly on a spatial grid (Se + Ti), but you can also think about it as directing the flow of power to various regions that are in need of it (Si + Te).

I took one look at the little red lines and the cheesy music, and I said no. The window was closed.

I really wanted to see what "NT Game" was, but it is not my cup of tea. I can probably blame that on my not being of the NT Country Club.

I think deep-fried anything is icky, are you making fun of me?

I can see this game as NT:
identifies the pieces as described by , and sees the final 'big picture' of the
relation of all the adjacent pieces to each other and dictates how to rotate each piece.

That's not fun! It serves nooo purpose whatsoever and hence, no point! Purpose purpose purpose! Thanks for suggesting though :-) xx

The purpose is to come up with a purpose, and apply your newly acquired skills. That's the whole point of the exercise.

I tried to play it. I read the directions twice. I pressed play and then my brain started to hurt. I only got half of it with 30 presses.

On it's own it is a game yes. But if it helps to hone ones thinking skills, wether that is Ti or Te then that can be carried into other areas of life were one would look to or need to utilise ones logic.

my son and i like this. we both like puzzles. we both found the kid level to be harder when you couldn't see what was under the blue blocks. we liked being able to see the whole thing.

of course it doesn't directly have any real life application. but they are fun and challenge a brain to think in new ways which does translate into other areas of life, hence, real life application.

oh wait, cyclops just said the same thing. LOL
