    Default Jung's cognitive functions test

    eh well

I also know it's MBTI, which is why we can't take their suggestions for type to mean anything. Here's the link: http://www.cognitiveprocesses.com/as...nt/survey.html

Cognitive Process Level of Development (Preference, Skill and Frequency of Use)
    extraverted Sensing (Se) ******************** (20.2)
    poor use
    introverted Sensing (Si) ********* (9.6)
    unused
    extraverted Intuiting (Ne) *********************************************** (47.6)
    excellent use
    introverted Intuiting (Ni) ************************************************ (48.6)
    excellent use
    extraverted Thinking (Te) ************************ (24.2)
    average use
    introverted Thinking (Ti) ****************************************** (42.7)
    excellent use
    extraverted Feeling (Fe) ****************** (18)
    poor use
    introverted Feeling (Fi) ***************************** (29.1)
    average use

    Summary Analysis of Profile
By focusing on the strongest configuration of cognitive processes, your pattern of responses most closely matches individuals of this type: INTP

    Lead (Dominant) Process
Introverted Thinking (Ti): Gaining leverage (influence) using a framework. Detaching to study a situation from different angles and fit it to a theory, framework or principle. Checking for accuracy. Using leverage to solve the problem.

    Support (Auxilliary) Process
Extraverted Intuiting (Ne): Exploring the emerging patterns. Wondering about patterns of interaction across various situations. Checking what hypotheses and meanings fit best. Trusting what emerges as you shift a situationís dynamics.

If these cognitive processes don't fit well then consider these types: ENTP, or INFP

Is this the one that combines nature + nurture? It looks different now if it is.

HUH? It looked like Ne Fi to me, and with the strong Se, I'd say ENFp.

Their INFP is INFj here so they are both Fi + Ne. I hope Im not stating the obvious and being rude lol. Diana does "feel smoother" to me tho. She also feels more mature. And please dont take those phrases out of context

LOL! I'm sorry! I was confused. Don't mind me...

I say INFj, which is what I said before seeing these results, too, while everyone else was saying INTj.

But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

The results seem somewhat consistent with Expat's ones.

Notice how both of us are unable to recognize the usage of our ROLE.

Indeed, but quite a few people got "unused " results, even those for whom is neither role nor PoLR. Perhaps the test is biased towards giving weak .

Perhaps since here posted most NTs, which are notorius for their lack of outward feelingness, the results of Fe are low.

YAY! hehehehe. Is this a case of seeing (or manifesting?) my idealised self? w00t for hidden agenda!

    But wtf @ ???

I don't know how significant each question was, hopefully not too much because I wasn't confident that I understood all of them.

yeah... first of all your is way to high... and my is way to high...

secondly, why are and coming out higher than your creative function?

I know you said that the CBT is messing with you... but based soley on these results, it looks like your either an ENxp or INxj...

but tests like this don't really mean anything

You should both remember that those are test results.

They do not necessarily measure how much you use the given function, but rather you perception of using it.

I noticed that. I explain it by me being extremely frustrated lately.

secondly, why are and coming out higher than your creative function?
is my hidden agenda, and people apparently confuse themselves for their beneficiaries. I don't think I'm an INTj but perhaps I'm just seeing a different view of myself lately.

As for the , it doesn't make sense. Do I seem particularly to any of you? I always seem to score high on it but as far as descriptions go it looks like one of my more severe weaknesses.

I know you said that the CBT is messing with you... but based soley on these results, it looks like your either an ENxp or INxj...
    I'm an INFp.

@FDG: ditto, but test results are still fun to take "seriously".

I second that notion!! I believe that living with an ESTp husband and an ISTj brother has increased my trust and use in Si, Se. Those two fellas get me to go FULL speed down hills on my mountain bike! I have balls.

Having Fe that high and Fi that low comes at a price. I don't consider that dichotomy to be good thing. I've seen the mess that can get me into. I want to get in touch with my Fi a little more. I'm happy with my Ni. I <3 Ni.

Ti, Te...I'm not sure how those preferences manifest themselves IRL. I think I use them to support Ni realizations. That sounds plausible. Having an INTj and ESTj friend, is heaven.

Having an INTj and ESTj friend, is heaven.

rofl so awesome. Especially the "I have balls" bit haha. I should take this test again, blah, but I already know the answers. I think the sucky part of temperament/type/etc tests is the predictability.

    But also the issue with:

What happens if one has internalized something as true when they have actually changed since that internalization and they do not perceive it yet. Or... what happens if their perceptions are totally false :x Eek!

Me too. I got me a, and I quote, 'excellent use'. That's pretty good for a function that is CRIPPLED!!!
Goddamn it, if there is anything I know that is that I have zero to none . My biggest weakness by far. Constant problems through out my education.
Fun test though, but it always tells me Iím ENFp.

Bad test, bad, very bad test, naughty test.

Excellent point. I can totally see that.

Yes, this is true. I totally agree. It's really silly to assume that I am an "Se master" just because I scored "excellent use." I chose those Se answers because I feel much braver in my gut reactions and my ability to plow through. But I mean, half the time I'm daydreaming away. I asked my husband if tonights USC game was the last game of the season because he is so pissed that he has class today and will have to see it pre-recorded. I guess he said yes. Because when I asked him again a few hours later, he said, "Yes, and you've asked me this, like ten times!" DOH! I was too into my thoughts to even process his answer. , so my use of Se, while "HIGH" on the test, wouldn't even compare to his use of Se. It's all subjective, I agree.

OMG! Another ISTJ result! This can't be. Could I really have been ISTj all this time?!

I'm starting to believe it. The type description was also quite close.

    Well here what I got.

    Your Cognitive Development Profile
The forty-eight questions you rated earlier tap into the eight cognitive processes. Some questions tapped into basic or developed use of a process used by itself, while other questions tapped into use of multiple processes at once. The profile below is based on your responses. The number of squares indicate strength of response. The equivalent numeric is shown in parentheses along with likely level of development.

Cognitive Process Level of Development (Preference, Skill and Frequency of Use)
    extraverted Sensing (Se) ************************************* (37.3)
    excellent use
    introverted Sensing (Si) ***************************** (29.3)
    average use
    extraverted Intuiting (Ne) *************************** (27.3)
    average use
    introverted Intuiting (Ni) ********************* (21)
    poor use
    extraverted Thinking (Te) ********************** (22)
    poor use
    introverted Thinking (Ti) ***************************** (29.2)
    average use
    extraverted Feeling (Fe) *********************************** (35.3)
    good use
    introverted Feeling (Fi) *************************************** (39.4)
    excellent use

    Summary Analysis of Profile
By focusing on the strongest configuration of cognitive processes, your pattern of responses most closely matches individuals of this type: ESFP

    Lead (Dominant) Process
Extraverted Sensing (Se): Immersing in the present context. Responding naturally to everything tangible you detect through your senses. Checking with what your gut instincts say. Testing limits and take risks for big rewards.

    Support (Auxilliary) Process
Introverted Feeling (Fi): Staying true to who you really are. Paying close attention to your personal identity, values and beliefs. Checking with your conscience. Choosing behavior congruent with what is important to you.

If these cognitive processes don't fit well then consider these types: ISFP, or ENFP
    ISFP, SEI
