    Default Russian Consensus List

Copy and paste this into google (don't click), then go to translate page:
    http://www.famo.ru//etalon.php
    (scroll down on that page)

I'm not sure if this site has been posted before.

I know that people here will find some typings contentious...but how can 'most Russian Socionists' be wrong ?

It has ENTp for Freud, ESFj for Washington, ENTj for JFK, ESTj for Margaret Thatcher...it's probably not much use, except as a reference.

(I've been looking at the Russian wikipedia article about Socionics, don't you know? It has links on there, and the discussion section is interesting).

In the Russian speaking world, they use these names similar to how we use the three-letter acronym.

Look at this video for instance:

    (Napoleon)

    and this (Don Quixote)

I've found the fully translated list on Rick's website:
    http://socionics.us/celebrities/benchmark.shtml

I had the feeling it seemed familiar. Oh well, it was an experience, hey.

Trasa is a poor machine translation of Dreiser, and Geksli is a poor translation of Huxley.

Since there is no "h" in Russian, there will be some problems in translation. In a Swedish chess book the author made the mistake of suggesting that the Russian source that talked about the chess opening "Gollandskaja zasjtjita" (in Swedish transcription) was referring to the favourite opening of a Swedish player coming from Gotland (our biggest island). But of course "Golland" refers to Holland (The Nederlands).

"Mastermind" is also what David Keirsey calls the INTJ.

For the record, Rick himself does not agree with all those typings. One his main disagreements is Freud as ILE; Rick types Freud as EIE.

Also, it must be noted that at least some of those Russian socionists arrive at those typings not by analyzing the evidence on them as individuals, but according to their "role". Igor Weisband explained to me his reasoning for typing John Kennedy as LIE more or less thus: "Kennedy seemed to represent the ideal American man, and the US's integral type is LIE, so, Kennedy was LIE".

Personally I think you have to analyze the individuals as such (yeah much more work I know), and to me it's clear that Kennedy was EIE.

And so on and so forth.

Hmm, that is interesting. I found it a little worrying that 'most Russian socionists' type a person one way, and this forum seems able to get a consensus for another type. I can't speak Russian, so the arguments in English always seem the most compelling. ().

This way of typing, i.e. by "role," is highly fallible--that one would attempt to put across a typing arrived at via that method as authoritative is... well, stupid.

BTW, imo, JFK = EIE, e.g:
