Default Which type do you mistake for your identical?

For me it's often my illusionary. We get talking (and when I say "we", I mean "I" ) and we click really well. We seem to think similarly on a lot of things, they're obviously rational (this is important), and they're all about Positivism and Ni + Se.

Interestingly enough, in real life, I always used to believe IEEs were my identicals... that is, until I got into a closer relationship with them. It's such a surface thing, with them -- we seem to be similar, but if we even scratch the surface a tiny bit, we see vast differences and are grossed out by each-other.

Yes, I agree with Joy that some ISTjs can look like ENTjs, especially ISTj-Se's

With two ISTjs involved there can be no mistake.

probably INTp for myself. But these are usually INTps in the media and I'm looking at superficial similarities, and weak Fi/Fe. Sometimes I confuse subdued ENFjs and ESTjs for my identicals too.

    EII and ILI.

I notice the difference when EII begins talking about supernatural entities (fairies, angels) and being very rigid where I am most flexible, such as during conversations about ethics and morals. I tend to believe that we each have the freedom to develop our own moral code while still doing what is "right" - there is no standard, IMO. EII believes in a standard moral code for all, however broad it may appear at first contact.

With ILI, I notice the difference in emotional conversations. Their emotions are very raw, childlike, and seem to exist on some frightening frontier with which they are unfamiliar and avoidant. We can intellectualize these emotional frontiers together, but when the conversation turns toward discussing personal emotional impact, the ILI becomes noticeably uncomfortable and avoidant.

I didn't notice that it was changed in the last part of the paragraph. I was thinking ILI.

Oops, typo. I fixed it. Should have been ILI instead of ILE.

Ni-INFp, especially when we share the same enneagram type.

I actually don't tend to mistake an IEI for my identical.. When I had an IEI for a friend, at the beginning I thought she was cool and things seemed to go well but then things got weird. For example, there was one time that I was suspicious that she took my notebook on purpose just to screw with my head.. I became paranoid with her and I think I suffered in that relationship far more than her..

I tend to identify with IEE's to the point that I'm still unsure which is my type - the EII or IEE but I tend to think of myself as an introvert, maybe I'm just not a typical one.
