that is what i was getting at. if there is an inescapable appropriation that is required in the act of understanding, this brings into question the validity of socionics in describing what is real, and hence stubborn contradictions that continue to plague me.

So why this new forum? Is it supposed to be more serious or something?

Tell us more about your forum. Is there less noise because there is no one signed up, or will there never be any 'noise' because it will be moderated out? What is the point of having more than one English speaking forum? What about Socionix?

Salawa this looks promising! about to head there right now. If you don't mind me suggesting anything...

I strongly agree with the 'no noise premise' for focused socionics discussion and would even go so far as to recommend that every topic must have something to do with socionics concepts. This more serious tone would insure your forum would augment the16types.info rather than divide it or turn into the16types.info episode 2 in a couple years. Some people may think this extreme at first but over time I think that brilliant explanatory threads about concepts would be easier to keep track of and place in a special archives subforum so that whenever someone new to socioncs wants to learn something, but is simply overwhelmed at the16types, they will know where to go.

Also in the future if it works out it would be stimulating to have threads based on a quality Russian socionics article where users read the article and then engage each other in intellectual discussion on what it means and what its significance is. It would be like a university class about socionics online! We could maybe even orchestrate some quality translations too.

it's like the Total-Reboot-Once-a-Month Forum. I'll not get involved in anything that has proven itself unstable so many times.

The Workshop focusses on classical socionics but there is still a place for mental masturbation.
