    Default Hi everyone!

Hello. My name's Brian, and I'm currently a graduate student in applied mathematics. I've been studying socionics for about 2 years now. I stumbled on this forum around the time I started reading about socionics, but it wasn't until now that I decided to (permanently) join you guys. I look forward to getting to know you and sharing my thoughts with you.

And since I didn't think I would get away with not typing myself:
    I'm about 85% sure I'm ILE
    10% LII
remaining 5% either gamma-NT (unlikely) or delta-ST (more likely)

    How are you applying mathematics?

Hmm, well the irritating response would be: anywhere math can be applied. I'll list some prominent examples.

Mathematical modelling of phenomena in the physical sciences and simulating them on computers. Areas that this is done are: fluid dynamics (weather forecasting, simulating airflow around an airplane), the stock market, biology (neuroscience, modelling proteins), various areas of physics.

PS. Thanks for the warm welcome
