I dislike tomatoes, unless they are dry and tasteless and placed in a sandwich. Then they serve the same purpose as salt.
I dislike sweet & sour foods, plus a variety of bland foods that I don't know the names of. But those are not on the same level as tomatoes.

I am the biggest pickiest eater ever! I couldn't even list all of the foods I don't like. And the textures of certain foods gross me out......ahhhh!!!!......
i wondered what and/or how this might be related to type. i will eat pop tarts, spaghetti and oh, i forgot to eat again.........so, i'll grab some ice cream with malt and choc syrup. yum.

I thought about posting a socionic related post here, but somehow I decided not to.
This makes me wonder though-this thread- if I am a picky eater, because I think I can eat anything, but maybe I can't, maybe I'm just basing it on the diet I currently consume.
Like, for instance, the vegetarians I think tend to eat a more varied diet than most others, *because* they are forced to watch what they eat, it seems to make them more creative and put more thought into it. A lot of 'omnivores' (perhaps with the emphasis on primarily meat than the veg..hmm could be not totally sure) in our society-they often seem to eat the same handfull of stuff pretty much all the time, because they don't have to think as much so about what they eat, they put less effort into it, and the *outcome* is that which turns out to be more the eater who be picky. (and it's often junk, I guess.)
What about certain cultures that eat insects and spiders and dog-testicle and the like. Am I fussy cause I don't fancy eating that. This is all exciting stuff.

yes but some of my tastes include the "cheap" option. So in a lot of cases I'm not picky.. I'm picky by particularity and not really by social factors.

Very much so though not as bad as I was when I was younger. Smell and visuals affect me more than the actual taste.
