Perhaps it's vs. - both can count as fun, but if you get the wrong one, you're "boring."

I think we've all got called boring at least one time in our lives, but it doesn't mean you are. When people call me boring its like I don't care, because well, I am.

I could see someone describing an ISFj like that, and I could see someone describing an ISTp like that. It seems like you not being able to read her could be an Fe-ego type's impression of an ISTp. But it could very easily be an ISFj too, particularly because you said she's a hard worker. I agree that she has weak Ne, whatever type she is, but not necessarily unvalued Ne based on that description.

TBQH I thought INFj was a possibility as well. She seems very self-deprecating (which isn't an EII characteristic in and of itself) and perhaps very unwilling to share her opinions. It's not that she doesn't have them, but probably more like she feels 'sharing' is forcing herself on the world or that she feels that kind of openness might open her open to investigation or that question which seems so self-negating, 'why?' If she cares as much about other people as you say, her fear of rejection by them might be enough to withdraw into her own thoughts, which can be a world sufficient for EII's ime.

I used to pretty 'boring' like her when I was younger and didn't understand myself very well. I'm still that way to an extent today.

I wouldn't use that word to describe her at all. To me, it seems like she has absolutely no problems with her self esteem (were as I have lots of problems with it). She keeps all of her problems to herself. She also doesn't seem to have a problem with rejection, at least, not that I know of?

Random: Her boyfriend is pretty smart and apparently has a very high IQ, and she likes that about him. She likes being able to ask him random stuff.

I'll try to ask her questions, and have her read what I wrote to see what she thinks, It'll be difficult to catch her though... I tried to ask her yesterday and she straight up refused. I read it to my mom and she said it sounded just like her, except she didn't think she was boring.

Boring, bland, quiet, not interested in talking much. Not particularly intellectual. Not elegant, or expressive. Very private with her personal life. Will very, very rarely discuss her emotions with you. There is no emotion in her voice. She is very hard to read.

When you ask this person a question about something they will always respond with "I don't know." no matter what the question is. If you press this person on answering your question they will get extremely annoyed with you, and block you out even more. She likes giving simple answers.

Even though this person doesn't like talking about her emotions you can tell that she is quite ethical in her decision making and behavior, though this could easily be mistaken for logic. She's pretty mature and wise about things for her age. She is a hard worker and shes rarely into playing games. Shes not girly, though she is soft, and warm. She has more male friends than female, and it seems like not many girls really understand her.

She's very kind and generous. There is not a mean or evil bone in her body. She will always be nice and polite to you, though I wouldn't particularly describe her as friendly. She does not give a damn about gossip, or backstabbing, or blackmailing others, she wont even think about it, and it is not interesting to her at all. She will worry about people when they are physically hurt. She doesn't conflict with people, and she doesn't like to press her views or feelings.

She's in high school, and she wants go to collage to become an art teacher. She's not particularly talented in the art field, but she enjoys it anyway. She will work very hard on her paintings until they are finished. She is improving with her work, and she's quite naturally good with creating patterns. I personally think she should become a textile designer.

Has a long distance boyfriend that shes been with for years. He used to live around here but he moved away, and this has not affected their relationship at all. They visit each other all the time, and she's serious about him. She's always on the phone, and seems to have an active social life. She doesn't really care what people think about her.

She likes watching the history channel, and she gets good grades in her history classes without even trying. Her least favorites subjects are mathematics and Science. Her grades aren't bad at all, but she's not the smartest person on earth.

She doesn't care if she comes off as stupid. Doesn't seem to care about making herself seem intelligent or witty.

I find that no matter how hard I try, I can't be close to her. There seems to be this wall and barrier built up between us, and I find that depressing.

I never see these as weak Ne. It's more related to an INFj imo.

heh heh That's exactly what my IEI friend says about my ex. "I just can't read him." Then she'll furrow her brow, concentrate, give up, and shake her head like she's mentally going "AAAAAAHH!! The frustration!"
