    Default Is it just me?

I'm referring to the fact that when I write and sometimes when I speak (), I often find myself leaving out words (usu articles and verbs and things). I have the idea or thought in my head and it just comes out in a bit of a jumble if I write fast - I have to go back and fix things up. Lol - I just read through this and had to put various words in that I'd left out. I usually have a clear idea of what I'm wanting to say, but sometimes have to work at putting it across intelligibly. So - si thing or something more sinister ?

I dunno, could be a Si thing. My SEI friend does this all the time. Sometimes my ESE husband will do it also which is surprising given the extent of his education and his past focus on writing in his career. I think that in his case he just doesn't take the time to go back and proofread.

Doesn't really happen to me much.. perhaps your brain just works faster than your mouth/fingers? I remember in the past I used to have this problem though (only when talking in real life), which I solved just by slowing down and thinking through what I say before I say it. Might be type related, might not be

it's odd. i only noticed myself doing this as i started working a job where i had to do very monotonous work and take in tons of information very quickly. otherwise i don't do it. maybe it is a Si thing. it's made me far less detail-oriented. but i've also noticed (like blauritson) that all i really have to do to correct it is go back and actually concentrate on what i'm about to write before i actually write it. something very fill-in-the-blank about it, though.

Sometimes when I talk I actually feel like I'm tripping over my words...lol
Like, my mind is sending the command but my tongue and voice don't cooperate. There's many times where I'll start saying something and then just stop and think... wtf did I just say (or try to say)...haha. I've found that it happens most when i'm in an anxious, really happy, or somewhat stressed mood.

I've actually stood in front of a room of people and said a sentence that probably came out much like this:

"lkynbal bitywh wbiybkts wtf akbyiszzeri today."
    Then I did this:
Then a li'l bit of this:

I stopped and thought, wtf was that?!?... laughed a bit , made some joke about accidentally paying attention and sounding out those voices in my head... Then i just took a deep breath... and slowed down... I remember seeing a few faces looking at me when it happened...lol. Good times.

I don't think it happens much with writing though.

Yeah - concentrate before I write/speak *sigh*. This is fine for writing ... but it can be a pain when you're having a conversation with someone.

Cracka - yes! - tripping over words - exactly! Do you ever find yourself inserting random words when your thoughts are jumping all over the place - like I'll be saying one thing and then it'll remind me of something else and I'll stick a word in from the other thought I'm having? lol - points to anyone who knows what I'm talking about.

If I'm talking, I sound like a three year old or something. "Umm, well yeah I suppose but I'm not sure it could be blah but not blah word it was wrong".....yeah.
You get 100 points. But it's good to know it's not just me, as selfish as that may sound.

To get back on topic ( silly Alphas) - was just thinking that maybe this has more to do with my Polr than anything else. The ability to organise thoughts into words - would that be Te? Or maybe rationality? Or maybe being Si dominant, having a Te polr, AND being irrational is just a lethal combination??

I think it's related to . I mean, includes semantics... I could see not getting words across being related to weak (not being able to physically control your tongue), but that's unlikely seeing as how your is so strong. Not being able to clearly word the concept in your head would be a problem.

Well, it would make sense if it were a Ti issue, 'cause I have a great deal of trouble organizing things. I even refrain from saying a lot of stuff because I feel like I'm not going to be concise or ordered enough to make any sense. Writing is easier, 'cause I can edit til my heart's content, but if it's extemporaneous I pretty much just give up.

I was just joking. The word 'protocol' confused me. I am easily confused. Um - just attempting to download aim now ...
