Default How does it feel to be a Se type ?

    (applies to SLE's, LSI's, SEE's, and ESI's)

How do you feel being ? I mean, being so pushy and hostile with others ? Not having any imagination ? Being obsessed with power and confrontation ?

How do you feel it ?

lol "obsessed with power and confrontation". kidding, right?

What makes them Se types is that they're so confident in their Se that they don't even notice it. I always assumed EVERYONE reads facial expressions to the smallest detail. Se types can just tell people to fuck off and not even notice it. When I tell people to fuck off, I'm all proud of myself later. For HOURS. Really. (and there's barely any types in the forum, so you have more chance of getting second-hand replies. That's why I don't feel at all guilty for replying even though I'm not type).

hey other people, argue if you don't agree with me! machintruc, I'm pretty sure types think they're "just as confrontational as everyone else".

Pushy, yes, but hostile only in defense of person or position(i.e. an arguement).

I think saying anyone can be obsessed with confrontation is unreasonable. Yes, some people do seek it out more than others, but to the point of obsession?...

But how does it feel to be perceived as pushy or hostile ?

Having as ego means having as super-ego.

Then, lacking imagination, and being narrow-minded. Especially if you're E1. It's the most narrow-minded of all ETypes.

Some friends have commented about it jokingly, and my mother says I have what she terms as "anger issues".

    Right, exactly.

    Lack of Intuition = Sensing

The only Etypes that i've seen as representative of me in any way are E1 and E5, more specifically 1w9 and 5w6. I read somewhere that ones can seem like, and therefore "mistype" themselves as fives, so one being the only other considerable choice must be the right one. I'll post the link when I find it....

I'd say it's more like lack of intuition=preference of sensing over intuition.

i don't really think Se is just about power and confrontation. these things are more the outcome or something.

Se is about being able to read other people's needs, will, and internal resources. it's like having a window into their resolve or something. so, while i think Se dominant types can throw their weight around easily if they want to, i don't think they always do this, since throwing one's weight around implies a lack of precision and a narrower perception base. role function Se is more like this, not ego function Se.

but what is it like to have Se in one's ego block? depends. for creative function Se types....they kinda like to spin you around in your swivel chair and flush you down the toilet. then laugh gleefully. it's more like a game to them or something.

leading, i think is more like this minutely precise and fast insight into appearance and body language which give off signals of need, will, determination, power, resolve. i think it's sort of like instant evaluation. like, leading Fe is like instant identification and understanding of a person's emotional state. then the person's second function kinda kicks in and they decide what they are going to do. leading Se is more defined by what the creative function wants to do. Ti=achieve my goals and objectives, using you, without your even knowing it and you feeling like it was your idea all along. Fi=achieving my social goals and objectives and by including you, if you can assist in some way, or not including you, if you are seen as a liability.

actually i'm not all that sure about SEE...it works i theory, but mostly IRL you see them including mostly everyone.

I wanted to describe the extremely creative LSI that I know, but I remember I posted about him in this LSI and creativity thread http://www.the16types.info/vbulletin...ad.php?t=16090

Basically LSI do not lack imagination. They just have a very practical sort of imagination. The insanely creative thing that they come up with can be built and used later.

How are LSI's creative ? By establishing a bunch of formalistic redundant laws ?

    lol, NO!

It's more like, "look, this machine was making a weird sound so I figured it was obviously from these tubes, so I changed them and it all worked." and everyone else is like, "uh, it would have taken me a month to come up with the same solution.".

When I'm problem-solving with an LSI, I have to try real hard to keep up with his imaginative solutions. Well he takes no credit for it of course. He acts like it's just normal for people to do this and that he just has the knowledge that others don't, but it's not just that! He's always thinking of ten things at once and when he does something, I never hear, "oops, I forgot about that other machine...".

While these are all very important, I don't really take any of them as seriously as others might, especially the fear of being worthless.

While i've never really worried about being controlled by others, domination of my enviornment isn't a major motivation or goal for me.

As far as the types i've considered go:

There was a time about a year ago when this description fit me to a T, especially the key motivation section, but not really anymore....

The integrity bit is me, I do think i'm nearly always right, inconsistency is evil IMO, and while noone is beyond criticism, I do try to keep myself as far away from it as possible.

Note:I do have some question on the whole Enneagram thing, 1)What is the correlation between the Enneagram and Socionics, and 2)Where is there any information available on the subject?

The thread title is misleading. It should have been labeled "Offensive description of LSI", or "How does it feel to be found offensive by Se PoLR types?".
    LII
that is what i was getting at. if there is an inescapable appropriation that is required in the act of understanding, this brings into question the validity of socionics in describing what is real, and hence stubborn contradictions that continue to plague me.
