Default Which statements about subtypes are true?

Which of the following statements about subtypes do you think are true?

(I'm using LIE as an example. Also, obviously, these assume subtypes exist.)

    1. An LIE-Te uses Te more often than an LIE-Ni.
    2. An LIE-Te is more like an LSE-Te than an EIE-Ni.
    3. An LIE-Te is more receptive (or some similar word) to Fi than an LIE-Ni.
    4. An LIE-Te is weaker in Fe than an LIE-Ni.
    5. An LIE-Te is stronger with Si than an LIE-Ni.
    6. An LIE-Ni is more receptive to Se than an LIE-Te.
    7. An LIE-Ni uses Ne more often than an LIE-Te.

    And/or, add your own.

I generally agree with imfd95, but regarding the last point, in a thread I made called 'subtypes and id functions', the hotelambush (presumably Ne-INTj) posted this:

(On a side note, I find demonstrative Se very attractive.) I'm sure it works out for the other types/functions, but you get the idea.

I generally agree with all of them; if I were to decide which ones I'm certain about, I'd leave only these:

    2. An LIE-Te is more like an LSE-Te than an EIE-Ni.
    5. An LIE-Te is stronger with Si than an LIE-Ni.
    4. An LIE-Te is weaker in Fe than an LIE-Ni.

as far as myself goes, not knowing my subtype or anything: I find excessive creative Se to be excessively pushy and directionless (more so than acc-Se), Ne something to use when I have a lot free time, Fe something that comes out in the right atmosphere

    4. An LIE-Te is weaker in Fe than an LIE-Ni. false

It's an interesting question. 2, 4, & 5 seem in keeping with my own thoughts on the matter. As being more Ne, I feel like my Se PoLR is even less accessible than it might be otherwise, while I think I use Ti (slightly) better than is typical. Just a few notions of mine. Also, I do tend to agree with 3 and 6, particularly in terms of strrng's usage of increased 'focus' on them. On some level I think 1 is correct, but I think it needs some further qualification.

I haven't seen a good theoretical formulation of subtype theory anywhere. Does anybody know a good link that might explain the reasoning behind why subtypes form, and what they mean from an IM perspective?

I think you're supposed to take it on faith. Or be immolated in the fiery hot flames of the earth's core.

I'm just saying. It's your choice.
