    Default ISTj's where are you?

So lately I've been thinking and I came to the conclusion that I don't know any ISTj's. It seems like every Beta type is around me except them. Any ideas on how do i meet them?

Which is odd, because I've seen them listed as the most common type at 12% of the population.

They are around you, apparently ignoring you and talking with their friends. Poke random people with Fe.

I tend to think that a lof ot Istjs aren't interested in the growth that's required to dualize. However the odd statistical numbers of enfj something like 2 or 3 % and istj possibly as much as 12% means that a lot of istjs are going to have to be lured by the promise of financial security or more pure sexual attraction that a guardian or playmate might offer, but which would appeal to their introverted sensory function. (and i guess they could end up being benefited or benefiting a rational or something). Ive never seen anyone comment on the percentages of population, but it's a pretty complex topic that I imagine Alphas would have to tackle if they were interested.

Anyway Potatospirit seems to be more aware, than i am, that this is a topic meant to attract istjs for the purpose of flirting Being as they are so common you would think it'd be easier to meet them. They're slow to become close to someone, though, I guess. I only seem to be getting attention from intjs on the forum who are very interesting, however, I know in the end are looking for something far more cerebral, successful, or good looking than i am.

p.s. i think those dating sites that utilize ptyping often actually try to pair you with your conflict type and that many people are roaming around with an incorrect assesment of type.

yeah i sympathize...why is it we cannot see our dual?

but istj's i know a ton of them and it seems like we get along pretty well. they are usually large and in charge. your ultimate supervisor, patiently managing the details of the organization. they are like rocks, immovable.

Sometimes you will meet them at the party scene hanging out with their friends.

You seem to be a pretty sociable person and therefore should know a good number of people. If that is the case, then statistically you should have meet one by now, so it might be that you are not noticing them.

I agree: any competitive sport, or mindless fun with their friends.

I also think many LSIs in high school and college are computer geeks, and in particular online players (competition again).

    ACCOUNTANTS

Hey, its a stereotype, but look into it. If you're in want of a rich ISTj male, look at accountants and bank people. They are very good with details.

Which is a damn good thing, because ENFjs need such help.

    Default ISTj irl irl

I realize that I am not very clear on real examples of this type, male and female.

I know my friend in real life is an ISTj. Everything fits for her and our relationship, and her relationship with others.

Other than that I am a little shaky.

Can you guys describe your friends and or post pictures for VI purposes? It would really help me.

I think one of my best friends from college (IEI) is married to an ISTj. He's a little on the short side, stocky build, square jaw, very handy. Likes to work on their old house and tinker with stuff. Enjoys getting groups of like-minded people together. Started a scotch club and a handy-man club and, for an introvert, is pretty social. But the IEI says that when he's at home, he's very quiet and needs his space. He's an intellectual also and loves ideas, religion, history, etc. Adores discussing this sort of thing with anyone who's interested. Has an infectious enthusiasm. Reads a ton. Can be kinda judgmental. If he thinks you're doing something wrong, he's not afraid to call you on it.

That girl looks and sounds extremely annoying. The guy redbaron describes sounds very cool instead. For some reason it matches my relations with ISTjs: I get along great with ISTj guys, but too much ST-ness in girls makes my bones shiver.

(I sent a pm to MsK.)

I have a feeling you'd not enjoy spending time around her FDG. (Perhaps another reason you'd get along better with an IP rather than IJ Ne polr type...)

But she is not annoying, really. I've never been annoyed with her, other than a few initial power struggles. She doesn't really push herself on other people. She's very concerned about doing a good job on stuff, which I like.

Most guys don't enjoy the ST female.

All I know of ISTJ's is that they like to drink and work...obsessively.

to me delta ST women are at least appealing. Beta STs, not so much. The Ti-face doesn't do anything to me.

Oh, well I would agree with Lara Croft being ST...I didn't read that part, I thought you were saying Angelina was ST. I think on-screen they can appreciate that sort of female but in real life...i'm sure that type would send them running, heh

I'm assuming that there are boy LSIs out there who are more the subject of this thread.

But in any case, I've talked about myself ad nauseum in enough threads in this subforum, so...*gestures broadly*. Though hit me if you've got specific questions.

    Default those istj's

i fell in love with an istj--but i ran into a few bumps in the road. :/ There are many attractive qualities about the istj's--they're steady, intelligent, and matter of fact. They know their stuff and the one in particular that I fell in love with was very good at everything that he set his sights on. They really like stuff done THEIR way or the highway and the more time you give them to think about a situation the better. he also seemed to be very judgmental and unable to understand my flaws :/

My roommate is LSI. He has a lot of little idiosyncrasies, some of which can be annoying, and he can be very much "my way or the highway," but if you are willing to understand him as a person, he is very interesting to talk to, has many unique perspectives on things, and I can see that he would be essentially an ideal person to have around in a tight spot. He's fairly clean, always pays his rent and utilities on time...not sure what you really wanna know
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

I think respect is important. But I don't talk about it, I just silently judge people about it. I think when you talk about things, you think you should care about them and are trying to work out how to or how to demonstrate that you do at the very least.

But respect is very important. If I think someone is being disrespectful towards something I think is important, I'll get very pissed off and usually take some kind of action.

. Wtf ESTp, he sounds like a dick . Though it might have just been a joke?
Meh. ISTjs. Are too insecure (irrationally because you are lovely) or changeable. Or something. Oh & shady and not upfront .
Well what does someone have to do for them to get their shit together? Do we have to spell it out? Seriously.
& I agree they are not "spur of the moment".
