We cause drama, and unfortunate things have happened here.
One thread I made 45 hours ago accounts for 7% of the total views.
Another thread accounts for 6%.
One of those threads I regret deeply because it caused a ton of trouble.

stop putting yourself down Kam - honestly - let's forget about it and move on. I think there are very few of us who think badly of you over this. So you said some things that you regret - so what? We all do ... and plus I think if you constantly worry about offending people you become a dishonest sort of person. You can't be a truly open person and not offend people at some point. We all know what you stand for - i think that's great. I admire your courage in doing that.

It's somewhat sad, but I thought the same thing the other day... Then did my best to not even post for a few days and take a break from this forum, and the rest of the internet for that matter.
It's felt way to "high school"-ish in here the past few days and that's not really my cup-o-tea. Don't get me wrong though, I like alpha and all the members of it... they have an ability to brighten my mood in a second and i appreciate that. I'm all about having fun and posting things to make people laugh and giggle here and there, but there comes a time when people just need to know how much of that the entire forum can actually take. I'm 90% sure that at this point, alpha has reached "immaturity" status to many of the other people on the forum. There will be a point where any person affiliated with alpha won't be taken seriously anymore, no matter what they post. I almost feel like an alpha "parent" even making this post, but I'm just saying that if I feel this way... then I'd imagine many more non-alpha people are thinking it, and probably in more of a bad way than I see it.
I really don't think I'm trying to make any real point here, just saying what's on my mind. Feel free to throw rocks at me now.:wink:

We all say and do things, that with hindsight we would take back. If anyone judges you for a mistake you think you have made, then the issue lies with them not with you, as they must somehow think they are perfect and never make what could or could not be regarded as a mistake.
At the very least you are being introspective about yourself, which shows thoughtfulness. And is being thoughtful not an admirable way to for someone to be?

I think there's a difference in being old vs mature. It's knowing when you can be immature if you want to and when it gets a bit too much.
For the record though, it does seem to have calmed down a bit... Just wanted to point that out so people don't think I'm just talking shit about how this place is going downhill. It's more like... it's always going downhill, but every once in a while it's better to use the brakes rather than letting it go and praying you don't hit a rock at full speed screwing everything up.
