Note the multitude of personalities involved, and their sometimes contrary natures to each other. My theory is this: function differentiation in DID people does not change, therefore the type changes caused by DID result in personalities that are very unstable due to immediate sensations of inferiority. Anyone can arrange their functions into any given type... but why when there are such obvious disadvantages? Some kind of switch in DID people forces them to choose the seemingly most advantageous function ordering to the situation anyhow.... Most likely, the inferiority awareness mechanism is switched off during the self-differentiation process. The blackouts probably occur simply due to the profoundly different nature of processing a non-optimal function order the whole way through, something that would not be comprehensible to the competant ordering/type. (too terrifyingly different, therefore repressed unconditionally)
