Default Another minimalist typing: war leader

A leader, in the context of leading a war, said the following:

And part of being a leader is: people watch you. I walk in that hall, I say to those commanders - well, guess what would happen if I walk in and say, "Well, maybe it's not worth it". When I'm out in the public, I fully understand that the enemy watches me, [that nation's people] are watching me, the troops watch me, and the people watch me.

The other thing is that you can't fake it. You have to believe it. And I believe it. I believe we'll succeed.

I have trouble discerning between Fe and Fi here because I don't know more about the person. It could either be someone concerned with appearing strong to stay in control (Fe) or appearing strong so his people feel like they have a strong leader who is doing the right thing (Fi). The part about really having to believe it could likewise be either an Fe tactic to ensure maximal "believability", or an Fi way of making sure everyone can be assured of your moral integrity.

Can you think of another interpretation (I'm not saying that there is one)?

It could be a Beta or Gamma Se thing, but I get the impression of Delta rhetoric. I could see an ESTj saying it, as I got an "on the right course" Delta ST vibe; wanting to appear strong in the face of opposition out of firm moral conviction. Also, his statement of having to believe in the cause sounded more confident than whatever he was trying to say about everyone watching him. Maybe Fe Role, idk. I still don't know enough.

Well, personally, at face value, without knowing who said it, I think that the main concern is with the emotional impact on others of what he says and does, so . Also, a constant awareness of the consequences, so .

Those words were said by George W. Bush, by the way.

This focus on belief in the statement (everyone must believe) could be seen as a manifestation of the hidden agenda of ISTj or ISFj

The emphasis on heirarchy (starting off with him/her, them commanders, then troops, then the people) sounds rather Beta valueing

Although it could be Gamma sacrifice for society..ie putting self out for the good of society, although at the mo Beta sounds more likely imo

At the mo i'd be inclined to say it sounds like Beta valueing, ISTj war leader.
