Default Enneagram: Distinguishing Counterphobic Sixes and Eights

Sometimes, it's hard to distinguish between them, especially preservational variants.

It's hard, because a low serotonin level may appear as a substitute from an high drive level (bad mood may lead to energy deployment). For example, a SEE-7 may appear less forceful than a LIE-6.

My dad is ESI-ESTJ. He makes me hesitate between Preservational 6 and Preservational 8. If E6, he'd be counterphobic. Most ESI's are Sixes, but as there are cases of E3, I think E8 is a possibility (but it'd be scarce, like SEI-2 or SEE-9 or such).

    Any advices ?

    No misinformed retards please.

CP 6s are generally more reactive. Also, the pressure they exert on people and their resistance to pressure seems to come in the form of a strong burst that slowly deteriorates; they seem to put all their eggs in the initial basket, as it were. They're better at getting immediate responses.

8s' resistance and pressure is more steady; they may not come on strong all at once, but they are more insistent, consistent in the amount of pressure applied. They are less volatile, less likely to produce an immediate result, but more stalwart and persistent.

Are you sure I'm the most hateful person here, Gilly?

He means that he tests as ESTJ on the MBTI. Which means that either the test is bad, or the test-taker is not accurate in his responses.

He didn't test. I just observed that he looks like a myersian ESTJ.

Besides, he's ESTJ keirsey type too.
