    Default Types of Inanimate Objects

Not so long ago, I asserted that computer software was typable.

Bukalov said that inanimate objects are typable, and I agree with him.

    For example :

    Alarm clock : LSI
    Personal Computer : LSI
    Car : LSE
    Cellphone : LIE
    Pen : LSE
    Paper : SLI
    Tape Recorder : EII
    TV : SEI

I don't see the point of typing inanimate objects, considering that there's no information exchange taking place.

*agrees without the expletive* No, not in a good way, guys. I see the avatar and immediately think LV's double-posting. Then it turns out to be not what I thought, and...urggh. *can't stand that*

You know, if you're gonna go there, one of you should be a Luigi cookie.

The fact is that there is, because you exchange information with such objects.

Funny, I scoffed at this stuff years ago, but now I do see some worth in it. Only that the explanation isn't really correct (i.e. "inanimate objects are typable"). They can't have types because they are inanimate. But interaction with certain objects may stimulate the use of certain functions, and that's what this list is really about -- not the types of objects.
It is easier for the eye of a camel to pass through a rich man than for a needle to enter the kingdom of heaven.
