For example, how can the Republica song "Ready to Go" be LSE-like ? Basically because it suggests activeness :

Pretty much a mixture. I've typed a lot of the artists (as those types), but I chose songs of theirs that are most representative of the type.

And why do you think the Spoon song represents ISTj? and The Gorillaz ESTj?

The Spoon song is a good example of Ti in music, I think, because it has lots of simple, repetitive patterns that build on each other. The lyrics and instrumentation also have a bit of an Se edge.

I've heard the Gorillaz' lead singer typed as ESTj, but based just on the music: It's not at all wildly emotional, like Queen for instance (the emotion there is seems more like Fi, kindof homesick). It's rather active and has a strong beat, but also has a relaxing quality, and the sound is smooth. I still find it difficult to identify Te in music (I'm seeing some similarities to Radiohead...hmm).

I'm thinking Flight of the Bumblebee might be more ENTj - it sounds too tense. Definitely EJ in any case.

@eunice: I think most of your examples are very good. However, I'm not sure about the ISFp one, and isn't the Corinne Bailey Rae song primarily about Si?

I think Eunice actually has some pretty good typings. One of my best friends from college who I think is ISTp loved michelle branch and dated this other friend of ours who everyone thought was a replica of Michelle Branch hehe. But please can anyone come up with anything better than Weird Al for ENTp hehe. I do think the Bare Naked Ladies showcase some decent Alpha Fe so that's a decent start. Maybe ENTps just aren't made for the music world. I personally could never see myself as a singer. Oh well. Billy Joel as an ESTj I think works as well. Have to think about Pink.

The interesting question for me from INFp or ENFj (or some other feeling type), would be that what's the emotional content of that video?

I thought Delta is more likely than Alpha since Alpha songs are usually more upbeat and on-the-move. That Corrinne Bailey Rae's song makes me feel more relaxed and encourages me to wind down.

I know a Si-ISTp who has a celebrity crush on Michelle Branch too. Anyway, I chose that particular Weird Al song because it seems to describe a stereotypical and extreme ENTp.

My all time favourite C64 game theme music wasn't featured in that second video though. I couldn't find the original on youtube but this ones just got some better synth sound going.
