That is another one of those attributal type test ... way too easy to manipulate if you wanted to say you are a specific type.

I made an almost identical thread with the same test and the same link to profiles as that on another forum I help run back in 2003 and the results were about the same. TONS of INTJs. But in the grand scheme of things, that's only 2 pages and less than 100 replies on a forum with 10k members. If the concentration of INTJs seems odd, chances are that that specific type was more interested in typing than the others and not that they all mis-typed themselves, or there really is such a huge concentration of INTJs there. What about the other 9xxx members that didn't reply?

Came to the same conclusion at the time on my other forum. N's and perhaps INTJs are more likely to be interested in typing since they know (consciously or not) that there's something very different about them, whereas Sensory types are less likely to be interested. Most of the INTJs that tested that way on my forum probably really were INTJ. Very few SP's or SJ's actually bothered to even read the thread much less take the test. They don't care, even though they're the majority of the forum.

    Default hmm

i don't seem to see many INTJs no matter where i've been.

i don't see why the INTJ personality is so sought after - that people seem to want to say they're INTJ. is it the minority appeal? the connection to mysterious angst? does that make it look cool?

I think many people see themselves as introverts when they're not, and perhaps N, T, and J are seen as desirable qualities.

    Haha, intuitive to the max!

Hmm, I scored more extreme than the other 100 times I've taken this test. And they switched the question order around since last year.

    I love being categorized.

    They do not suck.

You're targeting a specific audience, in a specific forum, on the internet.

    The outcome cannot be significant.

I'm with you on this one. There are too many factors here.

    1. Its online.
    2. Who would be up for the test?
    3. Who's likely to be on-line, rather than out and about?

Do you notice that ENFp's are always where the INT's are?

It just makes sense to me that on most forums, the outcome would be like this.

The "conclusion," personality type test sucks, based only on the general results from forums, suffers from the same types of problems that many psychology experiment outcomes do... go over to christianforums.com, or to nexopia, or to ratemybody.com and ask people to take this test. You may still see a prevalence of NT's or I's, but they may be the one's who were motivated to take the test. Despite the prevalence, you would see more personality types show up, simply because those venues are attractive to all sorts of people, rather than just a few.

Anyway, after all that talk, I'm going to shoot myself in the foot, because humanmetrics got my MBTI type wrong:

    Code:
    Your Type is
    ISTP
    Introverted	Sensing	Thinking	Perceiving
    Strength of the preferences %
    89 12	50	67
    thing.

Qualitative analysis of your type formula

    You are:
    moderately expressed introvert

    very expressed intuitive personality

    moderately expressed thinking personality

    moderately expressed judging personality
    -------------------------------
So it means this is how we express ourselves, but not what we are?

Or what we are is transformed or gets a shape when interactiing with others?
