    Guess what?

I was called Harry Potter all the time when I was about 10 years of age.

But truly, he's not ISFp. I couldn't chase after a Basilisk with swords and daggers or do anything Harry did.

I think Harry could be ISFP...well he at least had some ISFPness...he had the whole loyalty thing going on.

I vote for Harry as ESI.

    Ron as SEE.

    Hermione as LIE.

    Snape as LSI (maybe LII).

Ron's twin brothers: IEE (both of them).

    Neville: EII

Ginny: Who knows, or for that matter, cares?

    Luna: IEI

    etc.
    Classical socionics: (), ILI-Ni
    Dual-type theory: INTp-ENTp

    5w6 sp/sx
    MBTI: INTJ

ron and hermione seem alpha to me, hermione being LII.
ginny might be LSE? heh, I'm not sure with her.

lol @ me typing HP characters
    We're talking MBTI here.
Why is Harry NOT an ISFp tho?
I'm not good at analyzing in terms of socionics so help me out please.

heh I don't think I'm that great at it either and my argument is probably weak, but, IMO he behaves in a way that an -dominant would, and sees the world the way they might (kind of like how the wiki would describe it) ftr I'm talking about him in the books, not the movies. this is much more clearly seen in the books with his behavior with other people and especially when there are passages about his thoughts and feelings. (I'm too lazy to dig up an example right now, sorry, but maybe you know what I'm talking about?) so just the fact that IMO he's -valuing automatically cuts out SEI as a possibility. and I say delta because IMO his behaviors and beliefs are more in line with delta themes ("to help and protect") than with gamma's.

    sounds good to me.
    thanks.

OK I have new opinions on these characters.

I still think Harry is INFj. He has Fi leading IMO and I don't think Se because he's all anti-authority, which is frequently a Delta trait, and he is described as messy, wearing messy clothes without caring, and clumsy. So I think INFj > ISFj. He's a fictional character so there's only so well we're going to be able to type him.

What I've changed my mind about is Hermione. I think she's ENTj. I thought INTp because I assumed she's an introvert but I don't know why I thought that. I think she has an Ej temperment.

I don't know what type Ron is but since Rowling doesn't know Socionics there's no reason to assume she'd make Ron and Hermione duals or anything. But he could be ESFp or something? Not sure. Ep temperment seems very possible.

I think Snape is ISTj. I think Draco is ESTp.
