Yeah I know SEI doesn't make much sense. I just didn't care much to type him.

I actually read a few wiki things about his work in logic, was quite interesting but got boring quickly when it got into the more mathematical stuff. I liked his texts tho.

i have a pretty good idea, yeah. and i don't think he's a difficult subject to type at all.

Smullyan's interests and literary works strongly suggest that we look in a certain direction to find his type. I think I read his "Is God a Taoist?" some ten or fifteen years ago, and the content of it struck me as perfectly in line with my own thoughts and perspective. He could be the same type as Douglas Hofstadter, whom some people have typed as ILE. I am not sure that that typing is correct, though it is perhaps possible. Many types can of course be ruled out as impossible for Smullyan.

I do not know enough about him to be able to make a confident typing, so I would prefer to not make any assertion. But I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on his type.
