Default Socially Awkward Situations - acting like your activity partner

I do not remember if this was something that is Socionics "cannon" or not, so correct me if I am wrong.

Something like: when you are feeling socially odd, and maybe a bit uncertain or insecure about what is going on, you might act like your activity partner?

I'm not sure if that makes sense or not, or what the context of that assertion was. But what do you think about this?

If not activity partner, then what other type might you seem like, and why? (If applicable)

i am not sure in particular, but i have found ISFjs very difficult to type. this makes me wonder if they are somewhat invisible to me.
whenever the dog and i see each other we both stop where we are. we regard each other with a mixture of sadness and suspicion and then we feign indifference.

yesh, I see them as a combo of ISTj, ENTj, and a feeling type. Pretty hard.

More often than not I tend to act rather crazy in the stereotypical extroverted way. Or at least I'll get a strong urge to do this. Then again I can also act like this in socially comfortable situations. Although then I'm doing it just for the fun of it. But yeah, if it's socially awkward or uncertain, I really get the urge to either act crazy or start laughing. Well, that's the case with small groups of people. If there's a large group of people present, I usually withdraw and/or become extremely anxious, depending on the situation.

i think i read sumwhere around here that in socially awkward situations we use our superego more almost as safety net so others can't detect our weaknesses. ive definitely noticed that with myself in making first impressions or in situations where i feel vulnerable.
