Default Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument HBDI (similar to Socionics)

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herrman...nce_Instrument

It's a quite cool typology, which I feel more "ethical" than MBT or such. It doesn't deal with the E/I thing, but only with the four jungian functions.

They aren't really called jungian functions, but rather quadrants.

    A - Left Cortical = Logic
    B - Left Limbic = Sensing
    C - Right Limbic = Ethics
    D - Right Cortical = Intuition

    I prefer A, then D. So do LII's, so do LIE's.

The E/I thing is subject to caricatures and may produce discrimination, therefore I think it's good idea to make some typology which doesn't take the E/I thing into account.

Process types are AB, BC, CD, or DA, whereas Result types are AD, DC, CB, or BA. Don't you find this interesting ? The Process/Result thing is related to the preferred direction of information ! Like it'd be clockwise or anticlockwise.

EDIT: The dude who elaborated this typology made Brain Imagery to verify it. Therefore, I think Gulenko was right when he said "Sensing and Logic are on the Left brain ; Intuition and Ethics are on the Right brain".

A, then a mixture of B and D. I place very little to no emphasis on C. That kind of thing has never been important to me. However, it's a bonus when someone comes along and reminds me of it. I enjoy the feeling that rarely comes (love).

Then you're likely to be any TJ type

Hm. D is definitely my favored quadrant. After that A, then B, and lastly C.
Based off this my socionics type is IL(I/E)?
    Classical socionics: (), ILI-Ni
    Dual-type theory: INTp-ENTp

At least it seems likely. I think there's an exact correlation between the two models.

I doubt SEEs (or SLEs, for the matter) can be described as any combination of the adjectives on the bottom left quadrant. Gulenko confuses rational sensing, which indeed corrisponds with the bottom left, with sensing in general, which in its accepting form is more likely to pertain to the top right.

Yes, and it's the same problem with the IDI model, which is supposed to be based on Jung. In fact, this HBDI model and IDI are extremely similar in structure. I have taken an IDI test, and all the people who participated (you get to know how others perceive you in real life) perceived me as an A4 Processor. That type (A4) is one of 16 types in that model, and there is no other type in IDI that fits me better, but nevertheless it fits me very badly because it is most similar to an ISTj.

The problem with IDI (and maybe this HBDI too) is that in IDI there is no natural place for , and there is no place for or either. Intuition is associated with , and sensing is associated with how "Si" is understood in MBTT. Section B here in HBDI is clearly Si, according to how that function is described in MBTT, but it is a function that very different from in Socionics.

In any case, I feel like my style tends to be a mixture of A and B, then C, and absolutely last D. This can tend to confuse some people given that A and D might be not so different, but D is very difficult.

Can you explain the IDI model please ? Either in this topic or another.
