Default Why are there so many IEIs/INFps? I need some insight here!

Why are there so many IEI people here and in my life?

I mean seriously, IEI's like own the beta quadra here.

And I personally have like five IEI friends. Are there a lot of INFp's in the world or something?

We are supposed to be rare! I don't want there to be INFp inflation boooo!

I know a few INFp's too as it happens. But it is not surprising to find lots of INFp's on places like this. INFp's like to think about stuff and search for answers, and doing it over the internet suits them perfectly.

From the pictures you posted... you are in the kind of sub-population which attracts IxFps. Semi-emo, living free, listening to music, having fun at last minute's notice. I bet you just suddenly call each other, "let's go out, let's meet in 30 minutes, ok?". Also, there's a lot of stress on appearance and making free individual decisions on what looks good. A lot of color, many accessories, etc. (I saw the pictures once, but that's the way I remember it).

And I agree that the socionics community here would attract INFps.

You remind me of my best friend, who is LSI. Not sure why, but all your posts remind me of him.

Anyway, thanks Kristina, I think you're 100% correct. Even though INFp's annoy me at times, they good people.

IME, in order of prevalence in Beta, its: SLE, IEI, EIE, LSI.

We're not an uncommon type, I don't think. Yet my identicals manage to constantly elude me just when I need them.

I must agree, the most number of the betas I know are SLE, IEI one less.

But EIE and LSI are equal at 3.

Baby, come over, it's overflowing with IEI here.

Well sir, you don't remind me of anyone but I like you too.
Do tell me if something specific comes up, as I only know one other LSI, and am curious.

Hmm, I don't think LSI is that uncommon. Certainly more common than IEI I would think. Don't have any hard numbers tho >_<

Oh, and IEI's don't own shit mainly because we are so modest

You can have them, I don't like their wishy-washyness.

But the thing is, I know 5 INFp's, and they're all girls.

IEIs are fairly common, more common than they themselves would like to believe They're quite obvious and easy to spot IRL.

I think SLEs are more rare =S

you know people believe that sps are at least 10% of the population per type variation.

Who? All this type distribution stuff is ridiculous. Very few people have the right to estimate what types are more or less common, and I personally tend to think none are, though I can't be sure.

lol. I think people who are very much alike tend to attract one another, so that's probably why you have so many IEI friends. For instance, I have quite a number of IEE friends myself.

Found some MBTI numbers. Not sure how accurate, or how applicable, they are to socionics but maybe they give a rough idea:

    SF 43.4%
    ST 30.0%
    NF 16.4%
    NT 10.4%

    IJ 29.0%

    ISFJ 13.8%
    ISTJ 11.6%
    INFJ 1.5%
    INTJ 2.1%

    EJ 25.2%

    ESFJ 12.3%
    ESTJ 8.7%
    ENFJ 2.4%
    ENTJ 1.8%

    EP 24.1%

    ESFP 8.5%
    ESTP 4.3%
    ENFP 8.1%
    ENTP 3.2%

    IP 21.9%

    ISFP 8.8%
    ISTP 5.4%
    INFP 4.4%
    INTP 3.3%

Has anybody crunched similar numbers for socionics?

Socionics attempts are based on personal typings by supposedly skilled socionists, and they usually indicate a more or less equal distribution.

Personally I think that they're not equally distrubuted, but there is no away to prove it.
