I see stuff like this and I think to myself that it's a good thing for BOTH of us that we never actually got into a romantic relationship.

but then, i dread seeing what richard would score
but then, i'm not into politics anyways

i really don't like this quiz at all. the questions are extremely pointed, leave absolutely no room for interpretation, and in many situations don't reflect any useful information at all.

there have been threads in the past in which everybody's political compass dot was superimposed upon the same grid. if i recall a disproprortionate amount of people seemed to be pro-free market libertarians.

And that is one of the reasons why I also take issue with the political compass, because most people do end up there.

this is the internet. religious nutcases that are strongly pro-authoritarian are generally not around. this is the same internet where ron paul is revered and worshiped.

i dont take issue with the validity of the political compass. it's one of the best measures of political stance available online (there certainly ought to be ones that take into account more than two dimensions, but i don't know of any).

yeah. my experience is that most people online are either, as these tests would report (insufficiently so; two dimensions for a test is pretty bad), are socially libertarian and vary widely between pro-government and pro-market economics.

lol, yeah, that one had me going back and forth, it made little sense to me, but i wound up choosing "controlling inflation" cuz if that's controlled, then "unemployment" wouldn't be as bad....although, now that i write this, i realize that "controlling" something can include deliberately raising it as well as keeping it from rising.

but then controlling unemployment could include forcing people to work in jobs that they aren't compatible with, are physically/mentally unhealthy, and or giving fines to people if they are unemployed..and other such nonsense

Posts I wrote in the past contain less nuance.
If you're in this forum to learn something, be careful. Lots of misplaced toxicity.

~a certain mysterious power that may prove terribly fascinating to the extraverted man, for it touches his unconscious.

i figured it was intended to relate most to interest rates and currency. in some theory that is considered a standard trade-off there. (although not necessarily. for example, in recent decades you've had instances of "stagflation" where both happen..)
