My interest in Clive Owen has been rekindled by implied's avatar, which reminded me of Clive Owen.

I actually think he could be IEE. His demeanour and attitude reminds me of my mother. If not this, a Te type; he's an "information" kind of person; very descriptive and explanatory.

He appears totally ISTp to me. Probably in every movie I 've seen him.

yeah i think they are pretty manly in a .. rational (social) sense. like i think they are always looking out to/seem competent in taking care of their families, running establishments, etc. Being duty bound to their own. They also tend to dress sharp for public things.. appropriately.

I think Se types are the manliest in a biological way.

I concur with him being ENTj in Children of Men.

If we was ISTp he'd have spent more time chilling, the whole movie he was on to go, here, there, everywhere, he hates Si

Well I think he plays an ISTp in Sin City.

oh maybe, I didn't mean Clive Owen could never play a ISTp role in a movie, just that he wasn't playing a ISTp role in Children of Men

Can you make a case for this beyond the Si thing (I too think it's a ridiculous suggestion) please?

Have you seen Shoot 'Em Up? My original thoughts were SLI for Owen in that too. He seems to have this kind of nonchalantly solemn demeanour throughout the whole film, and you don't have to know astrophysics to see that he clearly has weak Fe; most likely he's Fe PoLR.

I don't remember seeing "Shoot 'Em Up", but that's the way he appears to me in most of the movies I 've seen.

Of course. I haven't seen the movie for a while so this might be lacking in details but you should be able to make it out.

As mentioned the Si PoLR is pretty apparent. He doesn't spend any time with his appearance and he doesn't know how to relax or make himself comfortable. Yet despite being pretty much an alcoholic he's still capable of going to work and making witty remarks.

The Ni is difficult to see directly because Ni usually is. It doesn't portray itself directly through actions but through knowing when to act and when to wait. You'll notice that types with weak and unvalued Ni clearly display this when they do seemingly stupid things (well seemingly stupid to Ni-valuing types anyway - did you see all those people that died because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time? Most of them probably had weak Ni, I know this sounds radical but socionics litterature has spoken on Ni's role in avoiding danger). Furthermore he's adept with language and puns and comfortable using them.

Most of all, however, his character is a natural born leader. It's not apparent at the beginning of the movie because really society is in the shitter and there's no point to lead anyone, the world is fucked. But once it matters he quickly realizes he's the most capable and there's people relying on him for direction, well fuck the human race depends on it lol. He's able to take this weight the way only an Si-PoLR type can and he gets the job done. When it comes to taking responsibility for seemingly impossible things there's only 3 types I'd rely on, ENTj, ENFj, and ESTp (ISTj if it doesn't involve leading people)

There's really nothing that rassembles the IP temperament in him.

Edit: Clive Owen also plays an ENTj in "Closer"

So why is he not an EIE? And could he not be an SLE?

(ISTj if it doesn't involve leading people)
So I guess you're not a fan of such dictators as Josef Stalin and Saddam Hussein.

Not an EIE because he sees the display of emotions as weakness. Remember when they're in the woods after the girl he likes dies? He goes away from everyone else making sure they don't see him cry.

I've seen King arthur but all I remember is Keira Knightley in that outfit she was wearing.
