    I was actually thinking ESFj.

His message is more about personal prosperity and success rather than fire and brimstone repentance. His disposition is more Positivist and Merry and is more like a motivational speaker imo.

ExFj-Fe I think is likely. ENFp possible I suppose.

From what little I know of him, he talks about developing people a lot. "People building"

Don't give it too much credit. I only spent about 3 seconds on spouting off my guess.

I think the positivist/merry point was a good one, and the materialism of his sermons (which I was unfamiliar with) aren't something I would have expected given my guess (though maybe that reflects less on his wants/needs than on what he thinks others want/need, still it calls things into question). ExFj does sound more likely now that I, um, know something about him.

He could be a charismatic INFj, though I doubt it. The signs are pointing towards Delta though.

The fact that he barely references the Bible at all probably points away from Te values.

......Or........ that he didn't go to regular preacher school like most other TV preachers. From what I understand, he didn't really think about preaching until his father died, and then he got inspired or something. He gets a lot of criticism for being unorthodox, apparently.

I don't know a lot about him, though.

    Default Joel Osteen

was flipping TV channels and this guy came up, he apparently likes telling people that they are "winners" and focus on what he says are positive messages, got me wondering what type he might be - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joel_Osteen

edit: going to type him as Fi-ENFp

Even though I don't particularly agree with the things he says, he's a great speaker and I have enjoyed seeing him on tv when he comes on. He has a very positive vibe to him. He's comfortable with Fi, that I can tell.

One of my best friends I think is ENFp loved Osteen's work and I personally thought the two of them were similar enough to be identicals.

Sorry but that's more of an Fe thing to do. Unless he really felt like crying. people who dont value Fe dont really care about orchestrating their emotions so carefully. If anything in an Fi-valuer, efforts would be made to stifle or hide emotion, at least ime.

I dunno. I've seen both Fe and Fi ego types--that is to say, people who were first and foremost shitty and happened to be one or the other, Fe/Fi--pull some bigtime emotional manipulation, myself.

It also seems like we've collectively concluded in Fe versus Fi threads that each version of F potentially looks fake to the other.

yeah well I agree with everything you said, but i feel like emotional manipulation from an Fi-valuer might be more like giving a cold-shoulder vs from an Fe-valuer might be something like fake crying.

    If i'm off, please enlighten.

Uhm, maybe in some Fi valuers that's the case, but I never really see Fi valuers as purposefully holding back their emotions unless they're emotionally unwell or very repressive. Also I've never known an Fe ego to fake crying, that's probably more just a matter of being histrionic than valuing any IE over another.

As for Osteen, I get ENFp vibes from him. He probably just seems smarmy because all televangelists are, it's the nature of the job. His wife seems ESXj too, perhaps Delta. Aside from his little streak of religious smarm, he has a good message and seems to genuinely believe in it.
