Thread: Subtypes of Gamma members

  1. #1

    Default Subtypes of Gamma members

You will see that, similar, to what I have posted in the other Quadras, I have wondered which subtypes seem to be more common within each Quadra. Yes, I am well aware that this will probably not be an accurate representation of the general population, yet I am still curious in terms of the forum's population.

So go ahead and select your type and specific subtype in the poll.

Taking comparative Te, Ni, and Fe preferences, and Meged's descriptions as reference, I'd be clearly Te subtype.

idk if i like the whole idea of subtypes... the ESFp-Se description is pretty negative too, so I could very possibly be an Se subtype but refuse to identify myself by this description...

    ESFp
    POLITICIAN - sensory- ethical ekstravert
Sensory subtype: it is very contradictory in its behavior: first of cuttings it is energetic, then it is affectionate, courteous, diplomatic. It is emotional, eloquently are expressed its feelings by gestures, view, behavior. It is characterized by the unpredictable reactions. It is sufficiently impatient, the aim is the physical realization of its emotions. Encouraging, but a little indeterminate in their desires partners please themselves it. It is inventive in the erotic, it is touchy, we wound, it is capricious. Values concern, kindness, time. Its search for ideal can continue for long. Is necessary wise, patient and yielding person, who knows how to pardon and to carry out the majority of his requirements, moderately critical and neskuchnyy.

I am not sure which ISFj subtype I am but I think I relate the Se subtype description more.

Meged says that I'm a subtype. I really doubt the applicability of ego-function subtype theory when the theory used for many typings on this board when it is gauged by the, in the traditional definition, introvertedness/extrovertedness of a person- which is a false way to go about. It would be proper to discuss what an actual system of ego function subtypes implies beyond the few threads laying around this forum.

By my conclusions on what could consist of a subtype system, I guess I would consider myself a subtype.

What does Fe preferences have to do with subtype?
There is an interpretation - which seems consistent with Meged's descriptions - that if you focus more on Te than "normal" for an ENTj, that is visible not only in lower focus on Ni but also on Fe.

So a Te subtype would have a greater focus on Si than Fe?

Not necessarily, perhaps just more focus on Si than a Ni subtype. Si remains the PoLR and Fe the role function, after all.

In my opinion, it gets blurred when you go beyond the 3rd function.

    That seems reasonable.
Would you say it might also make that ENTj "more" Fi dual seeking? Or more sensitive to it somehow?

Perhaps, more an emphasis on Te/Fi axis, rather than Ni/Se axis?

    You're probably an Ni subtype.

I saw this too in one of Dee's posts somewhere, guess he's got good arguments for it.
