    Default US presidential candidates 2007

i have my ideas on some of them. others i have no idea on. Materials on Hillary Clinton and Giuliani are omitted here because there's already a thread for Rudy and about 10,000 for Hillary, but you can and should include them in any lists.

    A few preliminary impressions:

Out of all the candidates, I know the most about Barack Obama. I've read both of his books, watched a lot of his speeches, interviews, etc.

He's certainly an ENFx, I believe. The E probably doesn't need much prompting to be accepted, but he definitely came across as someone who gives deep thought to what goes on around him and tries to find something beyond what's apparent. So, I would put him as a strong N type. Without being quite able to recall any specific examples of of why, I got the impression he might value Ni, but I'm not sure I'd put much weight on that assertion. As far as F/T, he puts a very heavy emphasis on people, where they're coming from, and how they might be helped. He's pretty naturally Fe expressive, but it almost seems like sometimes he tries to limit this in his public speaking. That sort of makes me lean more to Fi valuing than Fe (though idk the likelihood of which one might limit either their 1st or 8th functions). When I read what he had written, I couldn't help but think that value-wise we had a lot in common. So, I guess I'm going ENFp, but for some reason I think ENFj is just as likely.

John Edwards - hunch is ESFp? Though maybe ESFj is a better fit. I see more Fe than Se-leading. For some reason I seem to have much more trouble discerning p/j, which is odd considering how different an outlook it gives. Still, I guess the two are quasi-identical.

    Joe Biden - ESTx?

    Mike Huckabee - ESFj?

Dennis Kucinich - haha, total shot in the dark. ENTx?

Dude, use smaller images next time. Like images that are not 4000x6000 pixels.

I think Obama is a very likely ENFj. Not sure about the others. McCain might be ESTj.

I've pegged Paul as INFj since first watching him on youtube.

Giuliani seems ESTj to me. A terrible candidate.

    McCain seems ISTp.

    Hillary, no idea. ENTj, maybe.

    Mitt Romney, ESTj.

    Obama is definitely ENFj.

not living in the US, I'm not very familiar with them, but from what I've seen, I really admire Barack Obama and Ron Paul. I like the idea of Ron Paul being an INFj

    Ron Paul INFj

Rudy Giuliani I think is an ENFj

Hillary Clinton I think is a beta ST

Econdude of socionics.com fame had a remarkable epiphany.
It was revealed to him that Hillary Clinton is ENFP.
Currently I am inclined to agree with him.

Barack Obama reminds me of an ESFP friend of mine.
Rudy Giuliani looks like he might be ISTJ.
I cannot really figure out the other candidates.

Yeah, not quite so sure I agree with his most touted policies (if we abolished all the things he wants to, i.e. pretty much everything like the dept of education, etc, what are we putting in its place to deal with issues in these regards?) If he's suggesting it be state-conducted, I could agree with this, but then that doesn't really solve much (though some) in terms of taxes as these kind of things will have to be levied by states or else forgone completely. Keeping this socionic type in mind, I'll have to watch some more of his stuff. Though I do certainly like Obama (his attitude towards people, service, how politics should be conducted) but policy-wise and campaign-wise I reserve some doubts. I will likely still vote for him in the primaries however.
