His dislike of the press may contribute to most of his percieved introvertedness.

i can't see Bonds as SEE. he's too much of a public asshole. it's not just about the media. he won't even sign autographs to little kids. he doesn't care about his persona at all. he doesn't even exude the charisma of other well-known SEE's such as Muhammad Ali. i can't even see him as ESE. he doesn't seem to have any sort of skill at reaching people.

on the other hand, he is without a doubt one of the best hitters of all time, steroids or not. he is disciplined (in his forties and still playing ball!). is he a team player? i sorta doubt it. his interviews are always centered around him, his records and the people who hate him. he is a diva. he seems larger than life though. but it's not based on his personality but on an incredible talent. my best bet: SLI.

He's not known as a "loner", he's know as a guy who hates the media. And for good reason. I'd hate the media if they talked about me the way they talk about him. The people outside of the media talk about him differently. Do you pay attention to sports?
