whatever... it's all the same. I'm not proud anymore than I'm dissapointed.
I could sense that.Originally Posted by Carla

It's ok, you'll learn to love yourself .... or die trying. =D
I wish I'm a sensor so that I wouldn't keep bumping into things, be excellent in sports, and be alert to my surroundings.
Me too. Wish I were a sensor.Originally Posted by eunice

Common myth. Sensers don't always have good hand-eye coordination, nor do they always excel in sports, nor are they always alert.Originally Posted by eunice
All right. Well, I still wish I were a sensor/senser (which is it?) so I wouldn't spend so much time in my head and focus more on the here and now.Originally Posted by Ezra

I'm happy to be one of those sensors that is always alert, has great hand-eye coordination, and always excels in all sports... Sux to be you people who don't share this. :wink:Originally Posted by Ezra

We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...
Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
Whilst our laughter echoed,
Under cerulean skies...

yep, suck at sports too.
I like soccer though, but I'm not particularly good at it, or any other sport.

lol, it very much does actually. I come here every day and leave thinking, "hmmm, I'm pretty happy to be me." I often feel that some people just can't think this of themselves here. I find it sad really.Originally Posted by Gilly

I'm an N, and there's something strange because...I bump into things at home all the time and I don't know where I have placed my keys etc etc and I also always drop little things when I'm moving - but the moment I play sports, my hand-eye coordination becomes good and I'm hyperalert - I haven't seen any difference between me and the sensors I know in this matter (except that they are slightly better at shooting whereas I am better at carrying the ball/dribbling), some of the are worse, the very talented ones are better, i've played team sports and my performance depended a lot on which team I was in, but I was very good at basketball, but also way too short to have any hope so when I was 16 they just flat out told me that even if I was good I wouldn't have gone any far, then I tried dancing+cycling, but the first was gay even if I was good, the second I was very good again but mmh, I didn't want to become impotent
(btw, I know an ENFj which is a very good rugby player, an INFp which is a skater/basketball player, an ENFp which is a GREAT soccer player (one of the best I've ever seen), two ENTps basketball player that are in a A-level team...)

I think that whole "If you're not an N you are terrible at sports" is a bunch of horse shit.
You meant if you're an N?Originally Posted by LokiVanguard

A whole lot. But apparently I was talented so people were starting to push me to train a lot. I must say that it's also individual, I know some people for whom this isn't a problem, but when I was training REALLY hard (say, 800 kms a week) I couldn't get it up anymore. I didn't have a girlfriend at the time, but I still got scared and decided that wasn't the route I wanted to pursue.Originally Posted by ifmd95

wow man... that's weak (literally) I wonder if professional bikers take alot of viagra or something to deal with thatOriginally Posted by FDG
exactly the same. What eunice initially said was a generalization, although sensors do tend to excel more at physical activities, as intuitors tend to be smarter, but that is just on the grand scale. I myself am an intuitor who walks around in a dream half the time and can't even remember where the plates are, but my trainer told me I was one of the most talented boxers he's ever worked with. Cognitive functions play a role, but stuff like athletic aptitude comes down a lot to genetics.Originally Posted by FDG

Thanks FDG.
There should be an option expressing indifference.
Just cuz you're a sensor doesn't mean you're good at anything.
or maybe the S in ISFP isn't helpful in sports, i cannot be sure, but i am a massive phailure in basketball.

I used to want to be a sensor big time. This was before I knew about type. I just knew I was different from most everyone else except for a few kids here and there at school. I felt it was some sort of wierd trade off. My brothers were good at sports and seemed to fit into the real world and so did my parents and I was off in La La land wondering when I was going to get my script so I'd know what to say. I couldnt even understand the joy they got from certain activities which left me cold. As I got older I started to see some real advantage of being intuitive but I think it all evens out in the end.
