Default I'm still at a loss with Fe and Fi

I want to be able to recognise these functions distinctively, and I can't.

I'd be grateful if someone could show me a video or clip of a film or TV programme whereby Fi is shown in one of the characters, or the atmosphere is Fi. I always think I've pinned it down, but then I have second thoughts and think it could be Fe.

This is an example of a Fi type going against the Fe atmosphere, irritated by it.

Also, look for Meg Ryan's videos in her thread.

    This music conveys Fi:

    This is more like Fe:

I'm not sure how much this stuff is going to help him. It's hard with TV/movies because the whole protagonist/antagonist thing skews it, and I don't know if someone could see the Fe vs. Fi in the music unless they already knew what to look for (depends on the person, I suppose).

Good call on the Meg Ryan interviews though.

Tell me if I'm right here:

With Addicted To Love, the guitar players and the actual guy have no expression on their face, and yet their words are expressive in themselves. With the orchestral piece, it is quiet and the surface emotions are limited to convey something deeper. Again, with the Fi-valuer (what a legend) reacting against the Fe crowd and host (what a bunch of twats), they're just being stirred up, and he comes out with a witty one-liner, not getting annoyed.

With George Benson, his face is very expressive, and the words feel like they're coming from the soul, even if they're not (it's potentially empty).

So can someone tell me if the following are Fe or Fi (music and/or film)?

Ryan surprised me on that. It was like she didn't really give a shit what other people thought. Like if Parky asked her a question, she might reply with a one word answer, leaving an awkward few seconds. But he's a master at clearing that up after decades in the business, and he can get some laughs out of the audience quite easily. But then Parky goes and does something he NEVER does; he challenges her. Which I also find very interesting.

I can understand why people see her as an ESI. Clearly she sympathises with the protagonist's I like Parkinson a lot. I'd like to say he was an SLI, but he conflicts with Ryan's understanding of love/romance, which comes from Fi, and he has this Fe/Ti idea in his head - "you're a teacher, he's a foulmouthed NY cop!" - and hse replies with "That's so not how I think of it, and I think you're wrong" (Fe audience laughs to support mood). In fact, I think Parky could be an ILE; her conflictor, or alternatively, her super-ego partner. "You clearly don't like being interviewed, and you can tell because of the way you are". Basically, there was an awful lot of awkard interplay between the two, which I haven't seen on Parky before. He's normally much more laid back. Maybe he'd just had a bad day. I don't think it was her fault particularly.

I was looking to see if he'd had an interview with another cited ESI; Reece Witherspoon. I would've liked to compare the two. Sadly, he hasn't done one with her.

No, I don't think she was really. Okay, some of the things she said were a bit conversation killing, but for the most part, I think there was a conflict between her and Parky, that only accentuated as time went on.

Well I believe this thread to be about both Fe and Fi and the +/- aspects of them. -Fe/+Fi types tend to try to do things for people to make them happy. They try to show their true love and compassion by trying to help or give unconditional resources to people. One thing I have notice is that -Fe/+Fi types do not like to be touched, or they don't like to caress or show "playful love" or extraverted love. They tend to be very critical on the outside(especially to those they love), and often use things like guilt manipulation to get someone to do something. +Fe/-Fi types on the other hand are all "touchy/feely". They like to hug and caress. They usually like to tell people that they love them. All of their love and care is on the outside. They express love and feel hatred on the inside. When I say hatred, I mean that they notice what they dislike in everyone, and usually there is always something in everyone that they dislike. They are repulsed by things very easily.
