    Default Se needing Ni.......

I heard it that Se wants to be "analyzed" or something by Ni

Perhaps validated? An SEE friend is tellning me about a point in her life where she needed meaning or something - this reminded me of what I heard about Ni.

It is funny because meaning to her is much different from meaning to me.

    i agree that's its different.

I have a lot of experience about this. Not sure what it feels like to a beta, but to me ESFp Ni seeking seems very new age and illogical. Not saying it is, but that's how it strikes Ne + Ti in me. For example, chain emails, paranormal matters, horoscope advice is all considered in a mish mash (rather than one at a time, or logically, or anything resembling order). With ISFjs or ISTjs it's different. I have seen it written that betas don't like to be analyzed. But i have experience with an ISFj and I think they definitely do value knowledge of how things will turn out, which i see is Ni seeking too. So, i dont think analyzed is quite the right word, if it means you want people to give meaning to it, for a creative Se-er. Giving meaning for an ESFp (to me) doesn't seem like analyzing either. Giving meaning is not the same as breaking apart a whole.

    edit:

    hmmm

The individual is quite adept at following discussions on the developments of present trends into the future and at contributing to them on occasion if he feels so inclined, but he does not take that as seriously compared to investigating possibilities in the areas he is interested in at present. He usually dismisses supernatural claims as being silly, wishful thinking, unless they happen to be related to the very specific religion he feels inclined to believe in and which he may be inclined to make part of his leisure activities.

I honestly have no clue what actually does to me, but whatever it does, I like it. I get this strange euphoric feeling when I get (especially with ).

    It's called "indirect motivation."
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

Obviously Se types need Ni; that is how socionics works. Se types are Ni dual seeking types.

He's asking how that manifests, though.

    Okay.

Well, right now, I can't really comment based on personal experience, because I'm unsure of my type.

But I have read an extensive piece about Ni in the SLE on wikisocion. I can't remember which one it was, but if you look on that site, there's a Filatova, a Strati and a socioscope description of the SLE, and if you scroll to Ni, it should say a lot about how the SLE wants Ni.

Not necessarily -- that's a flaw with those descriptions, they don't always describe how duality works. And in Stratievskaya's descriptions in particular -- they have to be read as a whole; she often mixes up functional attributions.

...among other things. I still don't see why people prefer those descriptions to any others; they're just a bunch of her observations, some of them entirely irrelevant, organized terribly. The only upside I see is that she just gives a lot of information. I mean, she definitely gets props for going out and making observations, and the overall picture created is good if the person who's reading them can separate what's important from what's not, but there's just so much to sift through and figure out for yourself that I think for most practical purposes, other more concise and well organized descriptions are probably better reference points. I like Augusta's, personally.

yeah the Strati's are pretty biased against alpha, too. i mean they're like virulant or something. i'd never be as nasty in describing gammas frinstance.

I had an SLE (though he may well have been SEE) friend who always said to me "analyse me Ez". But he'd often hate it. It was only when I was getting attention and praise from people for it that he'd say it.

Maybe she just wanted to be accepted and truly appreciated?
