    Default INTjs and sorrow

I tend to find that INTjs lack the capacity to feel complete sadness or anguish about things. I think this is why they make good partners for ESFjs because they are able to sit through one of their rantings about how things aren't the way they should be. I remember going to funerals and such and feeling out of place a lot, like everyone else there was sad but I lacked the capacity to feel so. INTjs please reply.

I do not tend to feel sad about specific instances - I am more inclined to feel sad about the concept of grief instead or something .

What I've seen with INTj's is that not much is likely to make them sadder then they already are by nature...

That sounds right, I remember going to funerals and never feeling sad while attending them like the other people that were there were. Its like I lack the capacity to feel anger or hatred when something tragic happens.

If someone truly close to you died, for example, you'd feel it. If you witnessed a great injustice in terms of something that you truly feel passionate about, then you'd feel it. (Eg: A news report of an animal being slaughtered if you feel strongly about animals' rights.)
Yes, I agree with all of this.

    <--- largely incapable of "sorrow".

The universality of some emotions is being overrated... Most are exclusive to people of certain dispositions.

i do think INTj's do feel sadness when death occurs, because all forms of death can be prevented, we are all capable of omnipotent intuition. look up Aubrey de Grey. if INTj's themselves according to your revision are afraid of dying, why not afraid of others dying?

"i do think INTj's do feel sadness when death occurs, because all forms of death can be prevented, we are all capable of omnipotent intuition."

    What?

I've experienced several significant deaths in my life and have only felt the slightest bit of sadness at both of them. I've only felt the confusion at my state and a general feeling of lack of moral worth for not feeling the way I believe I "should." I feel like a bad person because of the way I feel about it. But, whatever. I am who I am---and I am a person whom seems to fall under the category of feeling very little sadness deeply at all. I'm just so disconnected.
"To become is just like falling asleep. You never know exactly when it happens, the transition, the magic, and you think, if you could only recall that exact moment of crossing the line then you would understand everything; you would see it all"

"Angels dancing on the head of a pin dissolve into nothingness at the bedside of a dying child."

That doesn't sound INTj at all.

FWIW, I work with an INTj woman who fits MS' profile. Her mother recently died of cancer, and over the course of a couple week's correspondance through the internet while she was away for the funeral, the closest she ever got to any display of distress was pretty much, "my friends want to take me out, but I'm not sure if I should go (because of the death)."

She clearly wanted to talk about it, but she wasn't freaking out like most people usually do, so it was really uncomfortable trying to respond to her. Her mother just died and she's asking me for production numbers at work.

ESTjs, ISTps, INTjs, and ENTps should lack the ability to feel sadness in most situations unless something extremely significant happens. Mystic is probably one of them if he is anything like he said.
