Default Shawshank Redemption as an example of ENTp/ISFp duality.

My favorite movie since I was like 11.

I'm sure I have seen this movie but can't remember much about it. Funny thing about your post though is that my good friend (ISFp male) LOVES this movie, it's one of his all-time favorites.

Naw.... I'm almost positive of the opposite. I wouldn't mind hearing arguments though. This I think is a case of an ENTp using Ti heavily and an ISFp using Fe heavily. If you watch both of them throughout the movie Red shows absolutely no Ne and relies completely on Andy for this. Similarly one can see Andy have a complete lack of regard for Si. The rooftop tarring scene etc. If you watch Andy's eyes they are always looking out like they are seeing something. It's automatic. His Ti on the other hand can come and go as Red baits him with Fe. They are comunicating on a Ti/Fe basis.

I thought ILI-SEE, with the Warden as LSI. Andy and the Warden have a relationship of Benefit, IMO.

Now that I think about it, yeah, Andy does seem LII, and the two do communicate mostly with Fe. And, well, I was hesitant to attribute it solely to one intuitive function alone at first, but Andy's scheming does seem Ne (with Si values) oriented. I guess SEI makes sense for Freeman's character, although I'm somewhat inclined to see him as rational...why not Si-ESE?

Ok so LII is the next best guess I'd say but I would still definitely go for ILE. So basically I guess it's the toughest to distinguish between the two but here goes....

Fe>Si. Andy is very emotionally effusive throughout the movie in a very held back manner. LII's typically do not show a lot of raw emotion. They are always kind of the brick wall. Andy always has a gloss over held back emotional look on his face. Very both Fe and Fe seeking. He also has little regard for his own Si. He continuously puts himself in situations where he hurts his Si for Fe emotional stimuli.

Ne>Ti. Andy uses Ne in a free and uninterrupted manner. LIIs can list off possibilities, but when Andy uses it he is seeing the future without interuption. It doesn't go back and forth from Ne to Si. It just sits in Ne. What he goes back and forth between is Ti and Fe. LIIs have a box over their head.... ILEs put a box over their head. I'd like to hear more arguments for LII over ILE though.

Here's a scene where they are both talking to one another. Don't watch it if you haven't seen the movie or don't want to overdo looking at scenes because you actually want to enjoy the movie for it's own sake.
