But I came to the conclusion after my Brother over dosed and died on drugs after years of me trying to help him that all druggies are jackasses and that they don't give a flying fuck about people that love them.

I know that is a big reason, but don't you want to CHANGE the way you've made them feel? What hurts them is that you (seem to) ignore what you say to them and make them feel worthless and unloved.
You have no idea how awful it was to stand and watch my own Brother die in front of my eyes. I wake up in the middle of the night still hearing the inhuman noises he was making.
I'm not trying to boss you around on an internet forum, it's just that the idea of someone so very very intelligent like my brother dying so young and the idea of someone feeling the guilt that I do (even though I know that I did everything I could have, and that the guilt is irrational) makes me pretty ill. <-- Wow, best running sentence ever.
At any rate, I know that you Think you know what you are doing but one simply cannot tell how ones body is going to react to what you do to it. Just... you know smoke the herb, man and stay away from every thing else. 'Cause you seem like a pretty cool guy and stuff.

thanks for that last bit... I'm not trying to argue you out of how you feel about it either. I know you've got reasons, and besides... you are right about it all. You're brothers pain was his pain, you have nothing to feel guilty about for not being able to change or help that (it sounds like you get that though, at least intellectually)

My boyfriend says that David thinks that he is a "rockstar" which seems true. He has a whooping three TA's when he only maybe needs one. I can hardly stand to listen to him because he is so over dramatic about things, nearly yells. I have to listen to him through headphones when Douglas is here because he cannot tolerate him.
You probably subconsciously regret that he isn't as kewl as David Caruso.
