Default Effect of subtype on erotic attitude

These updated graphs illustrate the theory that (1) type and subtype determine erotic attitude; (2)subtype is a continuous spectrum (rather than discrete); and (3) one's subtype preference will determine the relative expression of each of the two erotic attitudes within the type's respective subloop. For example, an INTj with a strong Ti subtype (relative to his/her Ne subtype) would expressive a substantial amount of aggressor attitude; however, no matter how strong the Ti subtype is, the INTj will always be predominantly infantile (although the INTj could theoretically be almost half infantile/half aggressor if Ti was incredibly strong). On the other hand, an INTj with a very strong Ne (relative to his/her Ti) would epitomize infantile attitude (because Ne is the core determinant of infantile expression), and in this case, the aggressor attitude would be almost nonexistent. The basic premise is that types exhibit a mixture of two erotic attitudes (infantile and aggressor, or caregiver and victim) based on their subtype.

I had trouble creating one fully descriptive circle (hence the diagonal line, which represents the problem I ran into illustrating the theory), so instead I divided the one circle into two smaller circles, each containing an introverted and extroverted subloop. Comments?

    My first question:

How do you know this is true?

Erotic attitudes may be discrete categories, but if they are dependent on functional dominance, and we are to assume that there are subtypes, that is, variation in the "amount" of ego functions that one displays, then we acknowledge that these are not completely black and white, "in or out" categories, but rather continuums. So if you can accept subtype theory, this shouldn't be a stretch by any means.

This is a pretty good illustration.

I don't "know" that it is true; it is just a theory that I have and that other people have alluded to (without being so graphically explicit). Based on my own personal experiences, I have found that, as an LII, I identify more with the Ti subtype. I also realized that I seem to exhibit behavior associated with both the infantile and aggressor categories. Couple this with the fact that Gulenko postulated infantile behavior derived from the Ne function, and it is not hard to posit that a diminished manifestation of Ne (relative to Ti) would lead to a diminished manifestation of the infantile behavior. The next question is this: if the infantile behavior is somewhat diminished, what behavior replaces it or fills in the residual? Of course, there are a number of possibilities one of which is that nothing replaces it, but I speculate that one of the other four attitudes will begin to manifest, and which attitude this is (you could call it your secondary erotic attitude) will depend on your subtype preference. More specifically I believe that you will take on, as a secondary erotic attide, the primary erotic attitude of the types that share your rational subtype. This secondary erotic attitude will manifest itself in proportion to the relative strengths of your subtypes, but it will never eclipse your primary erotic attitude (or you would technically be a different type).

Also, I'd be interested to know whether any other people find themselves identifying with 2 erotic attitudes, and what those attitudes are and what their subtype is (and the strength of that subtype--if you believe that subtype is continuous rather than discrete).

Yeah, I agree that the photo is very LIE, although I have absolutely no doubt that I am LII. Maybe I'll look for a more natural pic to use.

As a Gamma Quadrant NT Type I definitely relate more to the victim-careful relationship than an aggressor-infantile scenario...I am either INTp (logical subtype) or ENTj (intuitive subtype)...

I'm actually just trying to help RSV3 with his socionics research (which is still very active and in need of empirical data); FYI some people care about more than just acting sarcastic...

    RSV3 - maybe a poll would help...

Stop trying to teach us lessons, thanks. What RSV3 said in this topic is already common knowledge and has already been studied in detail, this is why the responses are not particularly numerous.

Why are you speaking for RSV3? He obviously would like to contribute to this study using his own unique insights which may not have been previously explored; it is also not common knowledge to him if he is asking about it. If you feel that I am teaching you something maybe it is because you are simply ignorant.
