Is he really INTj? Does he* remind you of any INTjs you've known IRL, or people of other types instead ... ?

If he was an INTj, what would you change in your understanding of INTjs or functions?

Well, to be honest, I've been trying to figure out why I have probably actually gathered evidence for more than 16 types over time. It's sort of like trying to fit 20-some marbles into a bag which only holds 16. I am not a fan of socionics cognitive definitions, the model A, nor even the possibility that 8 functions are the complete and accurate set of blocks we should be working with.

One of the most clear cut INTj's you're bound ever to find. No need to doubt this one.

david byrne is an artist and enjoys acting as well as making music. that interview is very much a performance. read his blog at davidbyrne.com, he is an INTj, and a normal person who is artistically and intellectually inclined.

ahaha. i love him. if not INTj, then i'd 2nd ms kensington's suggestion of ENTp. are you basing the "maybe not INTj" thing on his v.i.?

I'm using vi, but relying more so on collected experiences with various NTs. Maybe it's time to develop my subtype delineations better to account for certain discrepancies I see (too tedious to get into here).

Btw, I've also considered INTp for him.

EDIT: My SO's facial expressions, mannerisms, smile, eyes etc. are just like David Byrne. Yet considering my SO's behavior in real life, ENTp may be a much better fit than INTj. Subtypes may be coming into play here.
