Default Foods That Gross You Out

    For me its:

    - bananas that have lost their green: they get sort of dry and gucky and smell like acetone (nail polish remover). When they're still a little bit green they've got a really subtle, refreshing taste to them that isn't too sweet and their tecture isn't too mushy.
    - okra: slimey + fuzzy - need I say more?
    - the Royal Gala and Golden Delicious varieties of apples - they taste like straight up fructose

    I'll think of more later...

Garbage! I used to eat Golden Deliciouses all the time, back when I was a wee lad. Back then they weren't straight up fructose. In those days, they were a healthy alternative to the Crunch bars and Snickers that others would bring to class to eat. Also, Crunch bars and Snickers do not leave cores that can be thrown at other people while the teacher isn't looking.

    (I didn't really do that, I was a good boy. )

I prefer the milder sweet of a Red Delicious or a Granny Smith.

I relate to that. Though I enjoy fancier foods on special occasion, I'd prefer this to be the norm.

We have a Granny Smith tree in our backyard at my parent's house. (Also, a peach tree and some mintiature variety of pear.)

I love food; it's one of my favorite things in life. I may be fat soon.

I should mention that you probably should only list foods that you've actually eaten at some point.

oh come on. fructose is nice. 1.7 times sweeter than sucrose. in sucrose's face! I don't know if golden delicious has a greater proportion of fructose to glucose, sucrose, and other poly and disachharides, but it's prevalence depends more upon the fruit's ripeness. i'm sure when that as the fruit ripens some simple sugar compounds oxidize and decay more easily than others so really- the power is in your hands.

    foods that gross me out:

most mushrooms-- don't like the taste of dirt and protein with the texture of goop

    fish when i prepare it

    cheetos gross me out too

    ketchup

    i don't like goops, generally.

Lycopene can actually be found just as easily in other cooked tomato products like tomato sauce (which I can stomach much more easily and in higher quantitities).

I don't mean to sound INTj, but the only food I don't like is food that isn't fresh. As long as it's fresh and I'm not in the mood for something else, I'll eat anything.

Ya, I like your style. I eat anything too. Picky eaters should do some hard manual labor. Selective eating goes out the window.

One time, I ate a ketchup on tuna fish sandwich and it grossed out my LIE housemate.

that is what i was getting at. if there is an inescapable appropriation that is required in the act of understanding, this brings into question the validity of socionics in describing what is real, and hence stubborn contradictions that continue to plague me.

I like to view food as an energy source. If something fills me up, doesn't taste repulsive, and makes me feel healthy, I'd eat that the majority of the time over something that takes a lot of time/energy/money. It also makes the nicer foods seem even better when they're had on rarer occasion. But mostly, it's because food intake is such a constant thing that I don't want to be bothered with making a big deal about it.

I like the hot Cheetos too, but look into Fiery Habanero Doritos. The chances are good you'll never look back.

I can tell, but it's cute for some reason. My best friend is the same way and I am greatly amused by it.

She will go out to a resturaunt and order chicken parmisean, but she will only eat the chicken, and give me all of the noodles. she'll take off all the cheese fromt he chicken and put it on my plate.

difference between you and her though, you seem to be health oriented when she is just plain picky.

    only things she really eats:

    ramen<3333
    instant mashed potatoes <333
    blueberry muffins
    her own chocolate chip cookies
frozen chicken parmesean (no noodles lmao!)
    twice baked baked potatoe

    aaand thats about it

    Having standards is hot
Posts I wrote in the past contain less nuance.
If you're in this forum to learn something, be careful. Lots of misplaced toxicity.
