    Default New socionics test beta uploaded

    I have a rough workable beta of the socionics test uploaded that is able to calculate a type and tendencies to other types.

    Please note that while this test is currently workable, it is still beta and not yet totally complete; but, if you try it please give me some feedback as the questions and calculations I have now should change very little.

    The test is 320 questions ... Have fun ...

    And please tell me if some of the questions as not clear enough or are too vague and d not be shy to give suggestions. I want this to be as accurate and workable as possible.

    I got ENTP, so it worked for me.
    MAYBE I'LL BREAK DOWN!!!

    Way too many questions.

    I couldn't be bothered to complete it.

    INTJ.
    Wonder why and if I have to be an INTJ or how to do the best of it.

    Cool, as long as it is giving people the right type it is a good test in my opinion. Thanks and glad you guys appreciate my efforts.

    I know that it is tedious and time consuming to complete the test, but for those who want to try it is worth it. It is technically the equivalent of reading through all of the type descriptions at www.socionics.com and underlining the traits and comparing them to see which you are more like ... it took me more than a month to write the test before coding it, so anyone willing to do an hour of tedious effort to complete the test should be greatful they will not have to do a months worth of research to produce the same or similar results for themselves.

    It scored me as an INTj which is my type, so it worked for me.

    Just a question, on my results page, under INTJ in big blue letters, it listed four types as follows:

    INTJ INTP ENTJ INTJ

    What's that supposed to mean?

    That means that you could have some noticable INTp and ENTj tendencies, even though your main type is INTj ... the test is designed to show tendencies towards other types and to also give you a main type, which is INTj in your case.

    The fact the INTj is red twice shows that there is a high degree of consistency in the choices you made and that the most likely type for you is most indefinatelly INTj ...

    Default Quite accurate

    The test was very accurate for me.

    It resulted INFJ with "INFJ INFJ" tendency shown below the main output, all in a single attempt.

    My only fear respect of it is that I can't seem to help understanding what's -every- intention behind -every- question in a way I should forget all I read about socionics to really evaluate the test's efficiency. But that would more or less happen to most people roaming on this forum that believe they found their type already.

    Still, by reading all types and looking for all common assets and looking for the one that kept on it's description the most of all was the very way I found my type, and being careful enough should be the most extensive and certain way to do so. One gets easily tempted to see what "would like to be", and what "denies to be" by intentionally reading peculiarities that draw their attention; and this test seems a nice workaround for that vice.

    I believe it's useful to the arsenal although it's accuracy will be better certified on people's comparison between a first attempt to introspection that and a latter conclusion starting by using this.

    (In other words, I liked your test pretty much but don't trust me =^^=)

    Yes, my goal is to eventually write an effective 100% functional analysis test. Of course, I needed to test a few ideas first for reliability purposes and it evolved into the current test.

    I'll probably keep this test up with a few slight changes, but expect there to eventually be a few more shorter maybe even more accurate and detailed typology test in the future similar to this one.

    Hah, very true ... of course, I always find more to do with a project than is probably needed and usually quit before I have done everything I wanted to do in the first place; nothing is a finished project with me in that regard.

    Why don't you add subtyping to your test as well.

    I would very much like to add subtyping to my test, and plan to do that as soon as I learn enough about subtyping and the destinguishing characterisitcs.

    However, if you would like to help me hurry up by giving me lots of info on blatent non-questionable traits of the diffrent subtypes or by writting questions I can use in the test, I would very much appreciate it.

    By the way, I will be releasing an updated version of the test with a few bug fixes and I am doing some broader spelling and grammatical correction; I have had some complaints about some questions not making a whole lot of sense.

    I'm also going to find a way to detect hidden agenda as well ... from my understanding that is a function by which types use to feel fulfilled by being in lack or in need ... like for INTps it is and for ENTp it is , or for INTj it is or for ENTj it is ...

    Probably an easier function to find is the suggestive function. I've noticed that INTjs score very high on Feeling in those MBTI tests. And INTps often score high in Sensing too.

    Oh, really? I didn't know that. But that's good that we both came to the same conclusion which shows that this is probably a valid idea.

    How did you come to notice these things? Did you test hundreds of people on the MBTI.

    And for your information, socionics and MBTI are two different things.

    MBTI test results cannot be used for Socionics purposes in respect to what we are talking about right now.

    By suggestive do you mean dual seeking?

    Like on this webpage?
    http://www.socionics.com/advan/lookpast.htm

    If yes, I want to find out a way to test people for consistency on that model; it would help me to make a more reliable and efficent test.

    Just to give you guys an update on the current work of the test, I have made some drastic improvements to the way that the test is calculating the functional analysis. It is now using blocks, discerns between weak and strong functions, and can in a very simply way determine the main and secondary functions.

    Here are my results with the test as it currently stands ... the bottom part of the page is mostly debug info, and should not appear in the finished product of the test.

    http://www.geocities.com/jaeger2455/results.html

    If you find it hard to understand, compare it to my functional chart ...

    Ne and Ni are both showing up as a strong function because they are the top scored functions for me and they both tied the same from the computation.

    Default Almost ready to release a newer version of my typology test

    I am getting pretty close to releasing a newer version of my typology test with an improved functional analysis ... I added pictures of the modified model I made similar to model X so people can do type comparisons and decide which type they are for themselves after seeing the analysis.

    http://www.geocities.com/jaeger2455/results4.html

    It is not a perfect analysis, as you can see that I scored ENTj even though I also scored weak (whoops), but it is still better for people to decide for themselves anyways, and this test provides a good enough analysis for people to do that [or atleast that is my goal]

    Guest access is annoying, you can not edit post afterwards ...

    More specificially I scored Primarily ENTp with ENFJ and ENTj tendencies, but it is ok because the tendencies category is not necessarily representative of your main type anyways. I am not even sure why I scored ENTj that time around.

    Default New version of my typology test released (beta 2.0)

    I just released beta version 2.0 of my typology test ... it gives you a more descriptive analysis and helps to key you into your strengths and weaknesses ...

    Go here ...

    http://socionics.wsphere.com/socionicstypetest.html

    This was the analysis I received last time I took the test.

    Note that because you get a series of types or a type does not mean that this is conclusive! This test is meerly a tool to help you decide your own type and to bump you into the right direction of your appropiate type, not to decide your type for you! :wink:

    By the way, I was not able to release detection for subtypes yet, partly from the fact that I am not entirely sure how to tell them apart or to test for them; once I find adequate information on them or realize how to test for the diffrences I will code them into the test.

    I am assuming that the S denotes strong and W weak. What does it mean if the function scores as weak?

    NES = -2
    NEW = 14
    NIS = 13
    NIW = 3
    TES = 14
    TEW = 0
    TIS = -4
    TIW = 20
    SES = 0
    SEW = 18
    SIS = -6
    SIW = 20
    FES = -2
    FEW = 22
    FIS = -8
    FIW = 28

    Apaprently I am still INTP, but Te Ni Se Fe instead? I had always thought I was Ti Ne/Se but that was on MBTI, I guess this is one of the differences between socionics and mbti?

    Thought I'd mention that the icons aren't showing on the result page.
    So I don't have to keep repeating it: (75%I 60%N 87%T 82%P)
    socionics: xNTp

    I am fixing the problem with the graphics not showing up right now, thanks for pointing that out.

    By the way, if 300+ (375) questions are to much for you it is not my problem.
