Default Pink - Alecia Beth Moore

What type is the artist 'Pink?' http://www.pinkspage.com/

I have a feeling we'd get along SO WELL if she honestly believes the stuff she sings in her songs. (I have no idea what she's singing for money or what's 'in the heart' you know?) It's like everything she sings about she's dual-seeking for a guy just like me. I would have to get to know her personally to find out though.

    I want that Pink Pussy.

    j/k lol

I want that Pink Fag Hag.

Though Pink Pussy has a better ring to it...

omg I am NOT BEING A STEREOTYPICAL FAG AND WORSHIPPING HER LIKE SHE'S CHER OR MADONNA!!!!111 (hides his pink cd under his cover and blushes)

God, U and Ur hand is such a good song isn't it? *sigh*

    SLE?

SEE is the only other choice that makes any sense, imo. I currently favor SLE for her type though.

Yeah, I would say SLE. Have you heard the song "please don't leave me"? Here's the vid:

I kind of like Pink. Back in the day her debut album was one of the first cd's I bought. Which is almost certainly type related.

What makes you think she has Gamma qualities and ideals though? Those traits you mention are too superficial for psychology I think.

SLEs are normally stiffer/more serious/more focused on their "job", even the sweet ones. SEEs often have her smoothness, though.
I think SLE's can be very serious and composed and others can be more vivacious. Maybe this is an Enneagram or/and subtype thing....?

Her lyrics alone do seem to point towards weak , they're generally about anger and confusion about relationships/people.
Also, although I don't want to be prejudice, female SEE's are generally more feminine/soft, like Beyonce and Britney Spears. Not to say female logicals can't be feminine and sweet, too, I just don't see it as natural/obvious

SXE seems like a good fit. For some reason I really like her. She has a sort of badass attitude and I like a girl who makes a song that makes fun of all the other stupid pop female singers.

Having "strong" functions doesn't necessarily mean that you're good or bad at it. It just indicates where your focus is. The question then becomes, is her focus on relationships? (Not that lyrics are the best indication of type.)

Maybe you're right, she could possibly be a vindictive SEE who has been hurt a lot, and that may explain her subject matter/lyrics.
I really don't have any concrete opinion on her type. The only thing that seems to come off, obviously, from her (to me) is

she works the Se in her stage performance to the max, makes the tough chick thing almost a caricature, which is why she could come across as more SEE. but one on one in the interview, she looked classic SLE to me. clearly static, clearly logical, pretty smooth.

My IEI mother loves Pink a lot. I find a lot of her lyrics to either be stupid or uninspiring ("I treated you like complete shit but trust me I can change"). It's a shame too because I think she's a great singer.

I guess I'd say SLE too.

That's still a concept I can't wrap my head around, so it's all the same as far as I'm concerned.

Truth. There are SO MANY IEE singers, while I can't really think of many LSE singers. There are a surprising number of SXE singers.

Anyway, I would believe SEE for Pink, actually. It's obvious that she's Se-ego, she just has that vibe, to which the IEIs could be responding, but it's not as obvious to me that she is Ti over Fi. SEE-Se is a possibility. Although, after watching some Pink videos, I have to say, she gives off crazy SLE vibes. It might just be the Se, like I said, but wow. There is the possibility that Pink's "socially in control" vibe (which I agree, SLEs don't really give off, or at least not in the same way as an SEE might) is just the result of drilling; it's a really important part of her job to come off a certain way in interviews. I mean, even an IEI can learn to do filing if it's absolutely necessary. I think it would be easier to demonstrate Fe-valuing over Fi-valuing for pink, also.

SLEs are not as smooth, and they are more focused on themselves, somehow
    ...
If you look at SLEs like Madonna or Megan Fox, you'll see they are not as "connected". They seem more self aware, and less "just out there".
Not a rule, just a trend.

IEI. Probably Fe subtype. Pretty sure I'm E4, sexual instinctual type, fairly confident that I'm a 3 wing now, so: IEI-Fe E4w3 sx/so. Considering 3w4 now, but pretty sure that 4 fits the best.

    Yes 'a ma'am that's pretty music...

I am grateful for the mystery of the soul, because without it, there could be no contemplation, except of the mysteries of divinity, which are far more dangerous to get wrong.

it's like, she's ugly, but she's sorta, um, fat, so like ... and she's totally distruckfully shitty, but then, she gives you something you may cherish yourself as such. nice. sorta. enough to be a SLE, but she comes off as stupid and childish, sorta, pop culture is my *secret* trick, ... i feel like ending it, but cannot swear anymore . tight, ohright - laA'rz

    Yes she is my dual.

I was watching a special on her where she was saying she makes playlists entitled "Sadness Is". She also likes to listen to Otis Redding and cry and embrace the pain - I think those were her words.

    Default I wike P!NK

I really like P!NK. I love that she's actually a character with agency in her music. She's got a voice. It is she that acts, not solely whatever male is in the song. She's not some woman complaining that some guy isn't acting. She recognizes she's actually alive herself. Very Se-valuing. I've heard that she's ESTp, ESFp, or ENFj, so I don't want to say for certain that she is Se-primarily, since I only see Se-valuing. But, I do think she seems outer-focused, either being extroverted having an extroverted wing or having an sx or social instinct stacking, at the least.

A lot of her songs are emotional: saying how unkindly someone treats themselves, 'change the way you do so,' acknowledging the social stigma of being divorced or left by someone when you work in the public spotlight, the desire to have the enjoyment free in life, and the awareness of another, male, individual's personal desire to come on to her at a bar and pseudo buy her without knowing and caring for her to get pleasure.

These are reasons I hold out she MAY be ESFp, even though the angst seems to belong to the 'adolescent' Beta quadra

I actually like Pink. Some of the lyrics are weird sometimes, but I like her voice, the energy, the music. I havent' seen her videos, interviews, or performances so i can't comment on her acting/stage presence or sociotype. All i know is i enjoy it when her songs come on the radio.

Well, she co-writes. And sometimes a co-write is just a powerful artist contributing a word or two or nothing and then getting credit for the song because s/he CAN, and then earning some nice royalties. But the songwriters I know respect Pink and seem to think of her as a real songwriter. I googled this topic but didn't turn up anything quickly. Might look into it more later. I do see that she has co-written songs for OTHER artists, which is not something artists getting "vanity" songwriting credits do.

My first thought was SEE, but maybe SLE works too.

she's ok. i think her songs are more interesting and relatable than a lot of other pop artists, i like how she's open about her flaws and vulnerabilities in them. based on what little i've seen she reminds me of SEEs i've known but this is just a vibey impression that means nothing. i could totally buy SLE.

I looked at this thread to see if anyone thought she was anything other than SLE or if it was unanimous. Lol. Anyway I think SLE but I guess SEE would be my second choice for her.
