What are the most talkative types of the extroverts? Say you had to pick the top 4, or provide a list from top to bottom?

I agree. The most talkative people I know are dominants, indeed. I don't think I know any ESxps IRL, so I can't say much about them.

ESFj (Fe) by a far margin...Perhaps ENFj (Fe) comes second.

I am in complete agreement with this.
Ah true. ENTjs are very talkative too. It is just that ESFj "talkativeness" is of the kind that draws a lot of attention to them (even among strangers) which is why many people notice it.

I'm not a very typical example, but I'm behind ENTj and before ESTj. ESFj would win the talking contest hands down.

    My ESFj husband talks all.the.time.

(So does my daughter. She's probably too young to type though, at 7 years old)

    nope, it's possible.

I even got a book about kids typed according to keirseys temperaments. (xSxJ, xSxP, xNTx, xNFx)
The book is filled with examples.

Yes. I can be quite the quiet/shy person if I'm around people I don't know or in a setting I'm not comfortable with.

but if i'm out with people I know I can talk for days...literally.

Both ESTjs I know in real life (not counting myself) are not really that talkative, unless they are sort of in a very Fi state with you. If they are just sort of spending time with you, they are more business like. ESTjs only seem really talkative to people they consider themselves close to, and that is definitely the case with me.

They will exchange communication, facts, knowledge in public readily and easily, but as for substantial "personal" conversation, not nearly as much as ESFjs.

That is also related to why I enjoy making friendships through work. But this weekend when we have a "teambuilding session" where we cannot talk about work... supposedly.... is unappealing.

Te - ESTjs are even said to be "laconic"
Posts I wrote in the past contain less nuance.
If you're in this forum to learn something, be careful. Lots of misplaced toxicity.

~an extraverted consciousness is unable to believe in invisible forces.
~a certain mysterious power that may prove terribly fascinating to the extraverted man, for it touches his unconscious.

I like talkative people because I don't talk much so they can do all the talking for me when we are in a group. Quite a number of ESFjs have enjoyed my company because I'm willing to listen to them and I always remember the details of our conversation. I actually feel uncomfortable when I'm with another introvert due to the awkward silence when we are trying hard to find something to talk about.

As for the most talkative extroverts, I guess it would be EXFjs.

Yes, I tend to mistake them as an introvert when they are quiet and tired-looking, particularly an ISTj.

Hmm, I've discovered that the girl in question which prompted me to start this thread is indeed an ENTj. We didn't 'click' as such at the Ball we were both at last night. I just find with ENTj's that I can't cut through. Why oh why couldn't she have been my dual. My sister's friend is an ENTj too. The similarity is uncanny.

Aww.. I'm so sorry. I can imagine the disappointment. I keep looking for ISTjs and ESTps (friend search, not partner search)... Maybe the next one you spot will be ENFj. At least you learned a bit more about Ni-creative.

hehe, I think we must have some sort of internal, constant-state switch - "Talk" and "Don't Talk". If it gets switched to the former.. I'm going to stop myself now, I'm itching to go on a monologue here.

It depends on the situation ofc. A person is as most talkative when they're in a situation their that their ego function thrives in.
