    Default The Reinin Dichotomies Calculator

This is prolly useful as a rough tool to determining type by the Reinin dichotomies (should they be taken at face value? ) - you don't have to fill in all the options, and you can rate each dichotomy by your degree of certainty - but thehotelambush's article seemed to suggest that some dichotomies were more important than others, and also the translation isn't very good - so maybe someone can design a better one?

According to this, I am either a ENTp or a ISFj, so...

    http://translate.google.com/translat...reinincalc.asp

From top to bottom, the scales are:

    Extroversion\Introversion
    Intuitive\Sensing
    Thinking\Feeling
    Irrational\Rational
    Carefree\Farsighted (Carefree\Calculating)
    Compliancy\Obstinacy (Yielding\Obstinacy)
    Statics\Dynamics
    Democracy\Aristocracy
    Tactics\Strategy
    Constructivism\Emotivism
    Positivism\Negativism
    Reasonable\Resoluteness (Judiciousness\Decisiveness)
    Merry\Serious
    Process\Result (Right\Left)

But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

lol how are you guys even using this thing... am I more of an extravert or an extravert? lol

besides you need to understand the dichotomies for it to be of any use... (and I don't )

She's saying that the actual extrovert option is on the left.

I got 24% INFP, 13% ENTP... but I didn't know what some of the words were so I left those ones right in the middle... like the last two for instance... don't know what those words mean... maybe they're names... I know no Russian. Except for how to say "yes" and "no."

There's no way to know what it's asking. Some of the results posted are rather suspicious.

Ignore it. Either your understanding of the dichotomies is insufficient for a test like this, or the test is genuinely bullshit.

You know what? You're an individual, and that makes people nervous. And it's gonna keep making people nervous for the rest of your life.

I think this is obvious, but I'll state it anyway:
The Reinin dichotomies do not (usually) have intuitively obvious meanings. Any test that requires the user to learn the test's vocabulary- and almost the only way to do that with Reinin Dichotomies is to first know your type and then relate the definitions to yourself, in an attempt to understand the meanings- has an obviously fundamentally flawed premise that will lead to self-selection.
The best tests use terms that are unrelated to the specific theory and that the user would use, himself, in every day life.

I hate the dichotomies. But I love how the top two of her results are conflictors. lol

The test sucks though. If you know the reinin dichotomies, then you get the type you want to get. If you don't know about them, then the inaccurate naming of the qualities the dichotomies describe, can result in wrong type.
...the human race will disappear. Other races will appear and disappear in turn. The sky will become icy and void, pierced by the feeble light of half-dead stars. Which will also disappear. Everything will disappear. And what human beings do is just as free of sense as the free motion of elementary particles. Good, evil, morality, feelings? Pure 'Victorian fictions'.

Okay, fair enough, although they don't match up perfectly, my highest score is what I am. Nice to see I am infinitely far away from SEI. Obviously EII being third makes absolutely no sense.

It would be nice if someone would translate this fully into English, and put it on a separate page. I suggested the correct English terms for each dichotomy, but I doubt Google will give a shit.
Ideas don't determine who's right. Power determines who's right. And I have the power. So I'm right.
