The following is a list of some people who's types I know and their "disorders":
(Note: there are more than one person listed as a type…for example, more than one enfp is listed, even though only "enfp" is stated)

    Bipolar - enfp, infp, en/sfp
Borderline - esfp, esfp, enfp raised by esfp borderliner
    Chronic depression - infj
    ADHD - isfp, enfp
    Anitsocial - estp

my stepfather isn't, he's isfj and quite dependent....annoyingly so
however, he's also not all that bright
I don't know that he would meet the criteria of it being a disorder though

But doesn't this show how arbitrary this whole thing is?

most things done/said/connected on this forum are arbitrary
Jarno gave a theoretical connection, I listed some real life connections that don't necessarily fit his theoretical listing
if a couple of other people gave a list of real life connections between a disorder and a type, then that alone would prove the arbitrariness of the theory
Also, by listing real life connections, then maybe a discussion could follow about what aspects of each personality could have led to the disorder label
or, for those who prefer to, they can actually attempt to argue the theory and thus go back and forth (usually with no real ending...hehehe)

regarding the expressing concern vs expressing lack of concern regarding social isolation:

basically, you're damned if you do...and damned if you don't, eh?

(ok ok, not literally "damned"...sheesh people)

I don't mean to offend, but the personality disorder/type correlations discussed []ion this site[/i] are better researched. I'd highly recommend trying to make sense of them before going off on another tangent.
