    Default astralsilky's type

(Ni-friendly compositional style is arbitrary ~ don't read into that)

Long, long ago and far, far away ... there was an astralsilky who took an MBTI questionnaire. The result was INFP. But the profiles didn't seem to fit at all, over the next few years, and there was discontent over both the system and personally id-ing with the alleged result. Eventually, test scores migrated across the T/F axis until T appeared dominant (whilst still a 'teen, mind you). Time elapsed. More tests. Then socionics, too, was thrown into the mix and explored. Most other types were eventually tried on for size, over the next few years, in search of the best fit ... many of which were temporarily accepted along successive linear intervals ...

(Decided to do something different and follow the trend for a change ... posting this ... )

    I think you're... INxx.

I have a tendency to think you're INTj or INFp based on the vague "feel" I think I remember getting from your posts. Obviously, that doesn't mean much.

That's all I've got for now. I'll have to pay more attention to your posts to offer anything more than that.

That is not possible. MBTI does not use the lowercase. MBTI uses all capital letters. The use of the lowercase final letter was to differentiate between MBTI and socioinics.

    For the record,

    ENTP - MBTI
    ENTp - socionics

    ILE - socionics
    - socionics

What do you know about temperments - IJ or IP?

Sorry, I did mean INFP, and am surprised it appeared that way because in that moment of typing, I was even consciously thinking "upper case." However, the force-of-typing habit kicked in and a lower case p apparently resulted.

EDIT: please feel free to frame a boundary-value problem to distinguish IJ vs. IP which you believe to be true to socionics. I have MBTI baggage here, and what I've read in the past about the socionics distinctions did not help clarify where my type would really fall along this (perhaps artificially-constructed) "continuum."

Don't know, but beta is the quadra I think I identify least with.

Temperament ~ more often than not, over the years, I've thought IP. Not really sure though. Changes in circumstances may cause one to question one's preferences (eg, working in a more structured environment - now in a LESS structured environment - different reactions - etc.).

1.: ability to win with sword in your hand.
2.: ability to win without sword in your hand, but in your soul.
3, and the hightest one: without having sword nor in hand not in soul be able to win and bring peace to people.

Basically, state how you would prefer to spend your life - what would you do if basically you could do whatever you wanted. Average amount of money, but the ability to choose what you wanted to do. What would you do, how would you spend your time.

and then, picture yourself loaded with cash, being a millionaire or something like that - how would you spend your life then? What would you do differently?

SOmething like that right? If I am wrong someone correct me.

Ahh, that question is common in vocational counseling. Sorry, but I've never been able to come up with a satisfactory (nor concise) answer.

as is common, INFjs can resemble their beneficiary, the ISFp. I don't see anything to suggest not INFj, or to positively suggest ISFp but it does look as if she doesn't have Ti in the ego block.

yeah, i don't know. i see ethical, but i'm not convinced of creative. she seems happy and expressive and all that, but not really ? like i see more . i think there are plenty of types that can totally get amped up over -theory garble and it isn't limited to the ISFp or whatever.

Echoing the ENFp with information so far given in this thread.

    ...

For reference, it's not atypical at all for delta Exxxs to get Ixxx results in tests. Delta is basically a quadra with a very solitary lifestyle overall. The absence of company is just so easily misdiagnosed as introversion whereas we moreoften see it as a reaction to the outside world being just generally mean.
First eliminate every possible source of error. Thence success is inevitable.

I think you might have a polr, based on your posts.

You have a kind of soft way of speaking, if there is somebody that's more 'stronger' on the boards I tend to notice them too much and drown out everybody else out. I feel bad about doing this, because I know I should probably be reading everybody's posts, not just because they're witty or interesting or whatever. So online at the very least you seem very 'soft-spoken.' I believe that you my dear friend, are an INFj.

Your lonerness and not fitting in is something that I can relate to, but maybe for different reasons. I think everybody is basically alone. Until we die. There are amazing sparks where you don't feel alone, and you connect with others. Makes life worth living IMO.

My current interpretation is that this means my logic is WEAK: inappropriately being expressed as an inferior function. I was recently told AGAIN that, for example, that I incredibly overanalyze romantic relations so much that I probably destroy every one because of it. Is this possibly type-related?
No, you are an INFj and you just described why you need an ESTj as your dual.

Thank you, BulletsAndDoves. I'm not a pushy person ~ but sometimes IRL I can naturally take charge. I've gravitated toward leadership positions in the past. I don't value aggression for its own sake, and don't feel the need to waste my time asserting myself in situations where there is no productive result (rather than, eg, "my impression" on someone).

    EDIT

It would be nice to write a profile, but I know too much about type such that I could structure it however I wished to make it look like this one versus that ... :S

Ni or Fi dominant function. Hell if I know the second.

I think most INFjs gravitate towards leadership positions as they are trusted with authority like Expat said. You also just have a very polite way of speaking, not that dramatic at all, very poised and Delta-ish. Unless you're not actively trying too hard to be this way, then I have no doubts in my mind you're an INFj for now. As long as you're being 'yourself' and not stifling up emotions to appear as an 'INFj would' ... yeah you're an INFj.

Btw it's not that Betas need to do those things either, I just think...yeah we subconsciously care deeply about reputation, but we don't like to admit that...because really who likes talking about their weaknesses all the time regardless of type? *laughs*

Gemma Ward VI's just like the only INFj I know IRL. Always been a strange current of attraction between us. This girl also has exactly the same "vibe" as Minde - I've always read Minde's post with her soft-spoken voice.

    Edited.
Ideas don't determine who's right. Power determines who's right. And I have the power. So I'm right.
