    Default Oprah Winfrey

What's her type according to you?

    quotes:

Surround yourself only with people who are going to take you higher. — Oprah Winfrey

Some women have a weakness for shoes... I can go barefoot if necessary. I have a weakness for books. — Oprah Winfrey

Luck is a matter of preparation meeting opportunity. — Oprah Winfrey

I love the word delicious. The way it rolls off my tongue delights me. And even more delectable than a delicious meal is a delicious experience, rich and layered like a fine coconut cake. I had one this past birthday—both the cake and the experience. It was one of those moments I call a God wink—when out of the blue everything lines up just perfectly. — Oprah Winfrey

I was hanging out with a group of girlfriends in Maui for my birthday (minus Gayle, who had a previous engagement with CBS This Morning). I'd just come back from India and wanted to have a spa retreat at my house to celebrate turning 58. — Oprah Winfrey

As girlfriends do even at this age, we sat around the table and talked till midnight. On the night before my birthday, five of the eight of us were still at the table at 12:30 A.M., worn out from a five-hour conversation that had run the gamut from men to microdermabrasion. Lots of laughing, some tears. The kind of talking women do when we feel safe. — Oprah Winfrey

In two days I would be interviewing the famed spiritual teacher Ram Dass, and by coincidence I started to hum a line from a song invoking his name.
Suddenly my friend Maria said, "What's that you're humming?"
"Oh, just a line from a song I like."
She said, "I know that song. I listen to it every night."
"No way," I said. "It's an obscure song on an album by a woman named Snatam Kaur."
"Yes!" Maria said. "Yes! Yes! Snatam Kaur! I listen to her every night before I go to bed. How do you know her music?"
"Peggy"—another friend who was with us—"gave me a CD two years ago, and I've been listening ever since. I play her every day before meditating."
Now we were both screaming and laughing. "No way!"
"I actually thought of having her come to sing for my birthday," I said when I caught my breath. "Then I went, Nah, too much trouble. Had I known you liked her, too, I would have made the effort."
Later that night, lying in bed, I thought, Isn't that something. I would have gone to the trouble for a friend but not for myself. For sure I need to practice what I preach and value myself more. I went to sleep wishing I'd invited Snatam Kaur to sing.

The next day, my birthday, we had a "land blessing" with a Hawaiian chieftain. That evening we gathered on the porch for sunset cocktails. My friend Elizabeth stood up—to read a poem, I thought, or make a speech. Instead she said, "You wanted it, and now you have manifested it." She rang a small chime, and suddenly music started to play.

The music was muffled, as if the speakers weren't working. I thought, What's going on? And then there appeared, walking onto my front porch...Snatam Kaur, in her white turban. And her musicians! "How did this happen?" I cried. And cried, and cried. Maria, sitting next to me with tears in her eyes, held my hand and just nodded. "You wouldn't do it for yourself, so we did it for you." — Oprah Winfrey

After I'd gone to bed the night before, my friends had called to find out where Snatam Kaur was, to see if they could get her to Maui in the next 12 hours. As life and God would have it, she and her musicians were in a town 30 minutes away, preparing for a concert. And were "honored" to come and sing. — Oprah Winfrey

It was one of the most amazing surprises of my life. Layered with meanings I'm still deciphering. — Oprah Winfrey

What I know for sure: It's a moment I'll savor forever—the fact that it happened, the way it happened, that it happened on my birthday. All...so...delicious! — Oprah Winfrey

My idea of heaven is a great big baked potato and someone to share it with. — Oprah Winfrey

One if the hardest things in life to learn are which bridges to cross and which bridges to burn. — Oprah Winfrey

Real integrity is doing the right thing, knowing that nobody’s going to know whether you did it or not. — Oprah Winfrey

I've come to believe that each of us has a personal calling that's as unique as a fingerprint - and that the best way to succeed is to discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others in the form of service, working hard, and also allowing the energy of the universe to lead you. — Oprah Winfrey

The essential question is not, "How busy are you?' but 'What are you busy at?' 'Are you doing what fulfills you?' — Oprah Winfrey

My philosophy is that doing your best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment. ... Having the best things is no substitute for having the best life. — Oprah Winfrey

Reaching your true potential is more than an ideal. It's the ultimate goal. — Oprah Winfrey

Oprah Winfrey on Shondra Rhimes: "Shondra is a storyteller for our times. Courageous in her approach to the work, she's never played by other people's rules. She creates an assemblage of worldly foibles and aspirations. She understands that every dream is valuable and every identity deserves inspection through the looking-glass of television. She knows the power of reflection and wields that power with grace and generosity."

What kind of woman do I want to be? One who willingly gives and receives love. One who is compassionate. Understanding. Positive. Forgiving. A woman who makes responsible choices. I want to live with a heart open to life. — Oprah Winfrey

You can have it all. Just not all at once. — Oprah Winfrey

I feel I have made a living being myself. I've made a career out of my own authenticity. I don't have one face I present to the white world or to the black world. I talk to my dogs the same way I'm speaking right now. — Oprah Winfrey

When in doubt, be bold! — Oprah Winfrey

True forgiveness is when you can say, "Thank you for that experience." — Oprah Winfrey

ENFp/ENFj has been the forum opinion. My first thought was ESFj.
    EIE, ENFj, intuitive subtype.
    E3 (probably 3w4)

there are 3 levels of sword mastery :
1.: ability to win with sword in your hand.
2.: ability to win without sword in your hand, but in your soul.
3, and the hightest one: without having sword nor in hand not in soul be able to win and bring peace to people.

EIE has always been my thought. I don't see the rationale behind IEE, except that I could potentially see Dr. Phil as LSE (LIE being probably the best option).
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

i think enfj. don't really mind her, but she's kinda self aggrandizing yet in a way where she tries to make it look like she's helping everybody else. but her real agenda is attention for herself.

I was asking this question because I've read that she took an MBTI test (yes yes I know they can have a different result then socionics)

And on that test she scored INFJ.

I always thought she was an ENFJ but when I read that and watched her again I started more to believe in the INFJ thing.

That's an argument for ENFj since she has the wrong body type and doesn't look like an INFj on V.I.

I go from really liking Oprah to wanting to punch her in the face... so I have no idea.

At times it seems like she 'really cares' but I get this hella 'fake ness' from her as well.

It seems like she doesn't know how to to listen to people all that well and other views, and she's arrogant and just thinks she does. She doesn't seem to know how to think of anything that isn't within the mainstream now. She used to take a lot more risks but now it seems she just thinks what the majority of people expect her to think so she doesn't lose fans to her 'Oprah-isms.' (the classic you were cool once, now you're just a mainstream whore type of thing ya know?)

Also, I think her sort-of “fiance” (spiritual union rather than marriage, apparently) Stedman Graham is some Delta ST.

Stedman Graham - Google Image Search

And her friend Gayle King looks like a Delta introvert.

This is interesting to use: http://mapper.nndb.com/start/?id=22400

Also, she loves Eckhart Tolle, who is definitely EII. Doesn't every other Beta despise him? Heh.

By intertype alone, I would say Delta. But besides intertype, I feel like her persona still screams it.

How the fuck is she Beta??? She is the opposite of Beta. Beta's would crush her and then laugh as they spit in her face. (I would too for that matter ).

You know, there are other methods of typing besides looking at abstract cognitive phenomena.

She shares the same unique behaviour traits that I've seen in other EIE woman, though she reminds me ZERO of any IEE woman. Ofcourse your typing can still be right, but looking at other peoples answers, I think your confidence level isn't justified at is moment.

So there's something wrong with Jake's confidence level because you disagree with him?
