You can't wake a person who is pretending to be asleep.
I know an attractive EII with liberal attitudes towards sex. She very much likes the romantic first stage of relationships where men buy her flowers, take her out to cultural events and to restaurants and pay for her, and try to win her over. Sex is part of the process, but she likes the whole romantic process more than sex itself. She doesn't stay around long enough to establish long-term relationships, but stays true to her Ideal Person and prefers to preserve her freedom while getting all the monetary and other bonuses of casual relationships.
It is easier for the eye of a camel to pass through a rich man than for a needle to enter the kingdom of heaven.
I just remembered I know a male INFj. He is gay, so he can't wait for marriage - at least not in the state of Michigan - but he does seem to prefer to be in a relationship than to play the field.

That was my view on sex when I was younger; I was going to wait until I was married. I thought a woman should only have sex with one man, and that she should wait until she was married to do so. I had a very conservative upbringing (according to my father I'm not allowed to date until I'm 25 ), and was taught that sex is a bad thing.Originally Posted by Slacker Mom
I suppose that is still something I struggle with... not viewing sex as something bad. I don't even know if I've ever said the word "sex" out loud before. Sex is not something I'd ever bring up in conversation, and I am usually a bit uncomfortable when other people do.
... not that I don't enjoy sex, it is a big part of relationships for me. I don't think I could be in a relationship with someone whose sex drive wasn't compatible with mine. I had an INTp boyfriend who was convinced my need for sex would kill him, he would complain about it all the time.
So, I have mixed views on sex.

That was only because he was an INTp and needed something to complain about. No sane man would complain about a woman's high sex drive -- that type of person would complain if he were king of the world.Originally Posted by rockclimber

Obviously your sex sessions don't last 9-12 hours. Try to maintain that rhythm on a daily basis.

Getting messy? haha, like sweat? Actually, don't answer that. I think it's hot. Unless, of course, they're dropping pools of it on your face.
Sex is one of those things that I honestly don't see how it's type related. Anyone else?
i have a hard time seeing it as type related. i don't see how i use Fi or Ne when i have sex. the emotional aspect is more implicit for me and i'm only consciously focused on the physical aspect. but then it seems like sex is something i relegate to either my polr or HA, which seems weird. basically, i think its just...instincts, or whatever. idk. but then there a fair number of people who see it is primarily emotional and maybe this is true for a lot of NFs? i have no idea.
also the "infantile sex" thing has yet to make any sense to me whatsoever lol. just no. no.
One EII I had a sexual relationship with wanted me to dominate her in bed, to give her orders, and tell her what to do. Te seeking? I couldn't really do that, I am too democratic in bed.
I don't really relate to any of the romantic-type descriptions. Are those meant to be how you are when you're having sex or how you are when you're in a relationship? Because I can definetly see myself being a Caregiver but...uh...it doesn't cross over into the bedroom. If it does, infantile wouldn't seem like anyone i'd ever want to be with. Who wants games and weird things going on when you're trying to have sex? It's serious business.
They are poorly worded, like the Reinen dichotomies. Also, I think the assumption is just where you place your priority during sex. Like "infantile" is just Ne, so like creativity and trying out different things, but no one likes boring sex so everyone does some of that, "infantile" or not. And everyone likes other aspects of sex covered by the other poorly named categories too.

What's sex?
Was gonna agree, but after thinking, not sure. Perhaps a bit:
Maybe willingness to try different positions, creativity, related to intuition, desire to express love emotionally, somehow ethically related, desire to enjoy it, experience it more, possibly Si-related, wanting to dominate, Se, figuring out how the puzzle pieces fit together, related to logic.
I knew one INFj, who while of course having her ethics/morals for her "Dream man" she would one day meet, was a bit, well...not sure the word for it. But she slept w/ her married boss, and she also slept w/ some guy at a party. And then another guy when her roommate was home. I think INFjs are as into sex as anyone. They just act so sweet that it's strange to remember it's possible.
a guy I know is INFJ and his INTJ lady yells at him constantly, since he has a much lower sex drive than her.
So two conflicting examples.
Hi! I'm an ENFP. :-)
I had sex with a dual. It was a bit rough but I enjoyed it. I like the fact that they can move so fast and have a good spacial awareness. We ended up all over the bed, on every corner and I couldn't make out how I got there. LOL
I'm trying to be more open about this sex thing. It's much easier writing about it than talking about it. If I were to talk about it, OH forget it. I would blush and not be able to

Dual type (as per tcaudilllg)
Enneagram 5 (wings either 4 or 6)?
I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE
