If you're like about 99% of the population on the planet, you like both, you've just been socialized to like one or the other. 'gay' and 'straight' are both interwoven in the universe and weren't meant to be opposites. The whole notion of labels if silly anyway. Laid-back, goofy straight guys though have been great allies of gay rights. Especially the makers of straight porn like Penthouse or Hustler. (old school porn...now it seems to be all about the throat fucking. Not that I mind...)

I think you're an open person (at least online), and that attracts good vibes regardless of where you feel like you want to stick your dick in.

And for what it's worth, I think you are indeed a closeted bisexual. Just my opinion, but it's just what I sensed. It would explain why I like you so much anyway. I feel you are indeed 'secure' about that but I don't know. My gaydar is like hella accurate trust me.

I could go on and on about this topic but honestly I don't know what to say yet lol...

I'm always right when it comes to homosexuality/bisexuality. I'm a little obsessed about the topic but that's coming from a hickish town thinking you're the only queer on the block (which of course is bs but hey)

Ask me anything to do with 'gay' and I can answer. It's my skill. I guess in Heath's perfect world I will be saved because I have the skill of gayness. Who knows lol.

The gay guru is at ur service!

Depends on how it's used and who is saying it.

The only problem I see with queer is that it means 'strange' or 'unusual' or kind of an oddity but homosexuality is very common. So it's kind of just that self-depreciating humor you see in typical gay comedy, like stereotypes played up to the 900th degree.

If you act weird that's how people are gonna treat u but then again, it's okay to be different- so it's a constant cycle and trying to find balance.

I'm doing it all the time - gay innuendo that is. Having a hearty man-to-man helps clear the air, and relieves excess tension - I couldn't give a toss for someone I thought was homophobic, or who wasn't able to poke fun at stereotypes. Afterwards, me and my friend will have a playful mock fight in the dirt in order to aid camaraderie - there's nothing 'gay' about it, it's perfectly manly.

Yeah truth be told gay men are just too nice and don't stand up for ourselves enough which is why people at large have a hard time seeing gay men as masculine when of course we are manly otherwise our sex drives wouldn't be so comparable to straight men's (among other things.) A lot of this shit would stop if we just knock people's teeth in more. Really, I stop being bullied once I told people to go fuck themselves basically. Sometimes you gotta fight fire with fire and all this fag shit about 'treating people nice' all the time rarely works. I mean it's really just kind of comical and self-defeating how many of our 'brothers' had to die from AIDS or gay bashing or suicide before we got the balls to fight. Where was our anger? When our 'Martin Luther King' got assassinated we pretty much went out on the streets and waved candles in the air like little girls. It was just embarrassing.

And really if it wasn't some shady tactics and the aggressive policies of Larry Kramer, I highly doubt we could even have this discussion. The gay < straight would never be challenged at all.

Thank the lord for uppity minorities! Oh and also I think it's annoying how black men can be so 'in-your-face' but I think they've more than earned the right to be all thug-ish like that. Just like I think we've earned the right to be like that. It's our turn to be 'scary.' Nobody is scared of a faggot. They treat us like prey. (I think we've made a lot of progress though but there's still a lot to go. People are recognizing that we exist, but that's just the first step really.)

I will say that they gay people I have come across show no lack of sexual drive or aggressiveness. On the east coast at least, if there was any reserve in queer men approaching other males in public, it has almost evaporated. I have had a few gay friends over the years, and most of them had a pretty decent head on their shoulders. (Maybe I need more gay friends to help me find the perfect leading woman.... hmm... ). In all reality, it is usually helpful for me when they are around, because they are usually much better with people than I am. Though there are some like the reserved ones on Brokeback, of course.

You're right it also has a lot to do with location too. Here in the Midwest homosexuality still isn't that accepted but neither is much of anything. Everybody is just sheltered in their own mind. I kinda hate it. But I don't know, I prefer college towns because to me they're like the happy medium. I pretty much hate white trashiness and snobbery both though.

And yes, I have lots of fag hags with strong leading . They're usually middle-aged woman though... I dunno your age but everybody here seems to be college age-ish. (me too I'm 23.) But hey maybe you dig MILFers... I know I like DILFers.

Not just "fag hags", straight up homosexual males. If there is any question about my dual seeking function, the streaming line of leading males I have to dissuade should be clear enough evidence. I am at university currently, yes.

this doesn't go along with my perception of the alpha quadra. I see these sort of guys sometimes, you know, making a in-gay-joke and don't really know to which quadra they belong. They seem really faceless and thoughtless when they start in with that crap so I don't gather much more information about them.

I've known one homosexual in my life and I think he's an idiot. He 'really' cares about gay rights and has strong global thoughts about things. nah, he's a materialistic asshole with no beliefs but self-promotion and correct shoe purchasing.

He really only cared what the popular people(read: people with money) were doing. Always with the gossip. I personally don't care what he thinks about or who he thinks about but it's really stupid when he uses socioeconomic status as a basis for treating other people. Eh. He sucks. He is going to an ivy league school though. Thanks to his tear jerking essay about being a homosexual in a repressive State. He does have good grades and ambition, but he's not an original or thoughful man and I don't want him in any position of power.

these are the only parts I'd judge him on... he sounds boreing. I can't tell if being gay is part of your judgement or not (I don't think so, or don't want to believe it is) it's just how you brought it up and that it's in this topic that makes it seem so.

On a side note- it must be nice knowing that your the most socially well-adjusted, responsable person in the world... Good job Heath! We're all quite proud of you!

    lol happy asians....
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

Whatever heath, I'm sure his essay was brilliant. No matter what you think of him personally, you should have more respect for the guy than that. It is indeed hard as hell to live in a state that represses against homosexuals even if you are one of those stereotypical gym bunny gays that only cares about shoes and gives 'all gay men a bad name.'

He really only cared what the popular people(read: people with money) were doing.
When other gays do this it makes me annoyed too but you have to understand the deeper reason why that is. This comes from feeling isolated and invisible your entire life, dude. (I always figure all straight guys talk the same so if I start saying dude we'll end up having some kind of mystical connection with each other. Then we can shove baseball bats up each other's butts and spit on each other...)

LoL all kidding aside, he wants to be popular because he probably never felt like he was popular. Now me I'm proud of being an outcast but c'mon the little queer just wanted to fit in, don't be so hard on him. It's really hard to compare the experience of being gay in a straight world, it's like you're totally closed off you feel like nobody else is like you but once you come out you meet people like you and it feels liberating. I also think you're being a big asshole (and not in the good I'm about to get fisted kind of way) when you say things like 'tear-jerking' essay. Fuck you, Heath. The gay liberation was real and it was a powerful part of our lives... we can't accept you to understand I suppose, I just think you'll get a more well-rounded view if you meet more gays.

I don't mean to be so hard on you, but I know you can take it! And if you have no respect for other group's viewpoints and if you think that it's all just a bunch of 'victim mentality shit' you don't have any respect for other people, period. You're white and pretty and straight, silly boy. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Oh and about your other thread: You can take your skills and shove it up your ass. I'm a typical queer and the only thing I tend to be good at is sucking dick. I guess that's 'useless' in your eyes eh?

lol @ bionicgoat. You know I love ya man!

Oh and Heath I really wouldn't have a problem with what you said, but you crossed a BIG LINE when you said you wouldn't want him in power. That was just plain uncalled for and while it might not look like it to you, it was blatantly discriminatory. I don't personally like 'stereotypical gays' either. But I don't deny the power they wield, and neither should you.

You are annoying, and you make me want to vomit on heterosexual men when you say this, because you just sound like a typical straight guy that tries to control who is in power and who isn't. Fuck that! Look internally and start asking other straight men why they're the cause of basically every social and political ill known to man and why they seem to like to subjugate everybody else around them.

Me I'll be living happily with my feminists and useless liberals.

I'm either alpha or delta... can't decide which. I'm so anti-gamma oh god. Gammas in my life are like my natural enemies. It's either me or them baby, we'll see who comes out on top!

I guess my humor is like that, it's a good insight though I don't mean it to be self-deprecating it's more like I'm trying to get everybody to get along kinda. Like it's how I treat other people's stupidity by making fun of myself and letting them know what they say is kinda off the mark.

I know it's cute when I try to sound all threatening you're right but I'm just a cute widdle bottom boy bunny wabbit with a nice ass. Meow.

I can't decide on either ENTp, ISFp or INFj or INFp. Beta just doesn't ring well with me, but I can sorta see it. I guess.

    fuck you.

    lets start:

nowhere did i mention him being a stereotypical homosexual. Or say anything about homosexuals as a people.
being born gay doesn't mean you should be entitled to anything more than a straight person.
and of course I wouldn't want him in a power-- I think he's a total fucking prick.

As for struggling: It's part of life, and emphasizing your own struggle is arrogant. Everyone struggles. I struggle to make ends meet, I struggle with not knowing my biological father, I struggle with plenty of shit. BUT I DON'T THINK IT SHOULD HAVE ANY BEARING ON MY ADMISSION TO COLLEGE. (if you want another funny example of why this guy sucks- He laughed about getting extra admission points from his college for being part native american. He said, "It's finally paying off." That is spit-in-the-face worthy.)

You are reading my statements as offenses to your group when I was examining a particular individual's qualities. You were the one who weeded out the qualities and fitted them into the stereotypical gay image.

You may be right, straight men are the cause of most political ills but it has nothing to do with them being straight.
